New Single: Tränen Lügen Nicht (Tears Don’t Lie)
Release Date: 7th February 2025
Album: Kaltfront – Out 14th March 2025 via Metropolis Records
Industrial hard rock giants Eisbrecher continue to solidify their place as one of Germany’s most innovative and successful rock acts with the release of their latest single, Tränen Lügen Nicht. This new track serves as a unique and humorous teaser for their upcoming ninth studio album Kaltfront, showcasing the band’s ability to blend bold creativity with deep cultural references.
The track is a modern cover of Michael Holm’s 1974 German chart-topping schlager hit of the same name. Originally set to the melody of Soleado by Italian artist Ciro Dammicco, the song was later reimagined as When a Child Is Born and became a global hit, including a popular version by Johnny Mathis that reached the UK’s coveted Christmas no. 1 spot in 1976. Eisbrecher’s version maintains the melodic nostalgia of the original while infusing it with their signature industrial rock style.
Despite being distinct from the album’s core sound, Tränen Lügen Nicht quickly became a fan favorite and was added to Kaltfront’s tracklist due to its overwhelming reception.

Tränen Lügen Nicht follows the previously released singles Everything Is Wunderbar and Kaltfront, both of which showcase Eisbrecher’s hard-hitting, opinionated style. These tracks set the tone for what promises to be another monumental chapter in the band’s career. Fans can look forward to another single dropping later this month ahead of the full album release on 14th March.
Eisbrecher – Kaltfront Tracklist Highlights:
Since forming in 2003, Eisbrecher has built a reputation for tackling social issues head-on with their bold lyrics and powerful industrial hard rock sound. Their relentless approach to addressing societal flaws has garnered them widespread acclaim and a fiercely loyal fanbase. The band’s two most recent albums, Sturmfahrt (2017) and Liebe macht Monster (2021), both debuted at No. 1 on the German charts. Known for their high-energy live performances, Eisbrecher has become a titanic force on stage, creating seismic tremors wherever they perform.

Demo Review and Future Releases
During a recent Patreon live stream, Faderhead hosted a demo review session, analyzing over 60 submitted tracks and engaging the audience in rating them. The results provided valuable insights:
1. Even a single unique sound can elevate an average track.
2. Over 20 demos showed strong potential for inclusion in a 2026 album.
3. The highest-rated demo was an unexpected ballad.
Notably, the reviews varied widely, reaffirming the age-old truth that artistic preference is subjective. The key takeaway? Artists should create music that resonates with them rather than striving to please everyone.
Industry Thoughts: The Reality of Empowerment
A recent industry experience led Faderhead to discuss the concept of empowerment in music. While constructive criticism is often misconstrued, Faderhead emphasized that true empowerment comes from gaining skills, perseverance, and earning opportunities through effort rather than expecting unearned praise.
The discussion extended to hiring practices in the industry, where talent, reliability, and professionalism remain the most critical factors—regardless of gender or background. He further outlined the key traits that ensure success in any profession:
– Be highly skilled.
– Be reliable.
– Be easy to work with.
Looking Ahead
With new music in development and festival appearances lined up, Faderhead continues to push boundaries in electronic music while maintaining a firm stance on authenticity and artistic growth. Fans can expect more engaging content, exclusive Patreon sessions, and live performances throughout the year.

Norwegian symphonic black metal legends DIMMU BORGIR have officially unveiled the details of their highly anticipated The Chosen Legacy summer 2025 European tour. Fans can prepare for a run of festival and club appearances that will showcase the band’s signature blend of orchestral grandeur and blistering black metal fury.

🗓️ June 27 – Oslo, Norway – Tons Of Rock
🗓️ August 1 – Wacken, Germany – Wacken Open Air
🗓️ August 3 – Saint Maurice de Gourdans, France – Sylak Open Air
🗓️ August 6 – Tilburg, Netherlands – 013
🗓️ August 8 – Jaromer, Czech Republic – Brutal Assault
🗓️ August 10 – Kortrijk, Belgium – Alcatraz
🗓️ August 13 – Dinkelsbühl, Germany – Summer Breeze
🗓️ August 15 – Carhaix, France – Motocultor
🗓️ August 17 – Cudrefin, Switzerland – Rock The Lakes
Last month, DIMMU BORGIR returned to the studio with longtime producer Fredrik Nordström to craft the highly anticipated follow-up to 2018’s Eonian. This marks the band’s first album since the departure of longtime guitarist Galder (Thomas Rune Andersen) in August 2024.
In a recent interview with Jerry Kurunen of Rauta, guitarist Silenoz discussed the creative process behind the new material:
“We’ve been working on new material for quite a while. Even during the pandemic, we were each developing ideas individually before coming together to create something truly unique. We take our time to ensure that every album surpasses expectations, and this one will be no different.”
Although details remain scarce, Silenoz hinted at a return to a heavier, more orchestrated sound reminiscent of Abrahadabra and Eonian.
Over the years, DIMMU BORGIR has evolved from its raw Norwegian black metal roots into a symphonic powerhouse, blending cinematic orchestration with blistering intensity. Speaking on the band’s stylistic changes, Silenoz noted:
“We’ve never confined ourselves to traditional labels. Every album represents growth. Whether it’s the orchestrations of ‘Abrahadabra’ or the atmospheric elements of ‘Eonian,’ our music constantly evolves. The new album will take on its own life.”
Despite various lineup changes, the band’s core remains strong. DIMMU BORGIR’s official lineup is now:
🎤 Shagrath (Stian Tomt Thoresen) – Lead Vocals
🎸 Silenoz (Sven Atle Kopperud) – Rhythm Guitar
🥁 Dariusz “Daray” Brzozowski – Session Drums (since 2008)
🎹 Geir “Gerlioz” Bratland – Session Keyboards (since 2010)
🎸 Victor Brandt – Session Bass (since 2018)
DIMMU BORGIR’s last full-length album, Eonian, was released in 2018, coinciding with the band’s 25th anniversary. The album solidified their reputation as one of symphonic metal’s most innovative forces, followed by worldwide tours and festival appearances.
In December 2023, they released Inspiratio Profanus, a collection of cover songs via Nuclear Blast Records. The compilation featured VENOM‘s thunderous “Black Metal”, DEEP PURPLE‘s “Perfect Strangers”, TWISTED SISTER‘s “Burn in Hell”, and classic renditions of CELTIC FROST, among others.
During the Inferno Festival, former band members ICS Vortex, Mustis, and Tjodalv rejoined DIMMU BORGIR on stage to perform “The Insight And The Catharsis” from their 1999 album Spiritual Black Dimensions, marking a nostalgic moment for longtime fans.

“KUKULKÁN WAKAH CHAN” – now streaming on all major platforms – marks the triumphant return of Guadalajara-based Aztec folk metal pioneers CEMICAN, their first new release in four years.

CEMICAN, celebrated for blending the mysticism and mythology of ancient Mexican culture with headbanging modern metal, unveiled their latest single alongside a visually mesmerizing music video directed by Jobo Panteras.
Watch the official video here:
CEMICAN shares:
“Warriors! We’re thrilled to unveil this new preview of our upcoming album, inspired by the magnificent Maya culture. After five long years and countless challenges, including personal struggles and the pandemic, we are back with a renewed spirit, ready to guide you on an astral journey through our music.”
The band continues to record their new album, expected to release in summer 2025. This record follows the tradition of their 2021 single, “Yook’ol Kaab Maya,” and 2019’s ‘In Ohtli Teoyohtica In Miquiztli’.
CEMICAN’s name translates to “the duality of life and death” in the Aztecan language of Nahuatl, spoken by millions in Central Mexico. Their unique sound marries traditional pre-Hispanic instrumentation with the ferocity of modern metal, drawing comparisons to “Slipknot scoring Mel Gibson’s Apocalypto” (Revolver Magazine).
The group incorporates ancient instruments such as huehuetls, teponaztlis, and death whistles, blending these elements seamlessly with electric guitars and thunderous percussion.

The band has performed on legendary stages such as Hellfest, Wacken Open Air, Resurrection Fest, and Mexico Metal Fest. Now, 2025 marks their first U.S. performances, with dates including:

ee:man returns with Visions of a Dark Mind, a stunning evolution into a darker, grittier industrial sound dubbed “ee:2.” This release promises to resonate with fans of acts like Front Line Assembly, Front 242, and Gary Numan.
Building on the single Dark Mind, this EP showcases ee:man’s distinctive sound transformation while retaining the atmospheric depth and intricate melodies that fans have come to love. With Visions of a Dark Mind, ee:man ventures into uncharted territories, crafting a new, powerful sound that is both raw and refined.

To mark the release, the band has also unveiled a stunning video for their lead single, What We Become. Directed by Johan Carlén and shot in an ice-cold barn, the video’s mystique perfectly complements the track’s themes of transformation, depression, and self-doubt.

Frontman Mikael Stanne shared:
“The wait is over! Our second album drops today, and we could not be more proud. This is our love letter to melodic death metal, and we’re thrilled to share it with you. Don’t miss our new video for What We Become—it’s the perfect introduction to this record!”
March of the Unheard is available in multiple collectible formats:

Following the release, The Halo Effect will embark on their first-ever European headlining tour. Special guests Pain and rising Finnish melodic death stars Bloodred Hourglass will join the trek.

Michael Plaster, known for his work with the legendary 90s Projekt ethereal act soulwhirlingsomewhere, returns to Projekt with a mesmerizing ambient release under the moniker yttriphie. an extremely slow motion explosion marks Michael’s debut in the ambient genre, merging tranquility and complexity for a uniquely immersive experience.
The album is set to release digitally on January 24, 2025 via Projekt Records and offers a vaporous journey into atmospheric crescendos and dreamlike melodies.
Michael describes the album as “mellow and muted,” with long waves of atmospheric crescendos that sometimes fall to near silence while at other times carve clear, intricate paths. Feathery synthesized patches blend seamlessly with crystalline piano, creating a soundscape that is dreamy, isolated, and filled with longing.
Michael reflects:
“I want the experience of listening to the music to be like going into a tranquil, flowing river. Muted enough to take you along effortlessly, but complex enough to swallow you in its melodies—like little shrouded stories being slowly woven together.”
The album title explores the concept of entropy and the idea that everything in existence is an explosion of energy trying to dissipate, from the Big Bang to the smallest particles in our bodies.

“yttriphie? Oh, it is pronounced IH-tri-fee. Think of the word ‘atrophy,’ but swap the ‘A’ for an ‘Ih’ like in ‘Insist.’ And yes, I made it up.”

Twisted Flesh Recordings proudly presents Distorted Reality, the latest release from Terrorbit. This album takes listeners on a dark and immersive journey into the dystopian future, blending themes of cybernetic nightmares and Lovecraftian horrors with pulsating industrial beats.

“Even in the year 20XX, the horrors of the old ones still linger in the shadows. As H.P. Lovecraft’s tales warned us in the early 19th century, there are forces beyond human comprehension. In this dystopian future, where technology intertwines with biology, these ancient horrors persist, manipulating and threatening to destroy our world from the shadows. The journey into cyberspace madness has begun—how will it end?”
