The Browning have officially announced Burn This World [EVOLVED], a reengineered and weaponized evolution of one of their most defining tracks. This isn’t a simple remix or reissue—it’s a full-scale reconstruction designed to hit harder, move faster, and reflect just how far the band’s cyber-metal assault has progressed.
Known for fusing extreme metal brutality with relentless electronic programming, The Browning use [EVOLVED] as both a statement and a warning. The track revisits familiar foundations while amplifying everything—heavier drops, sharper synth architecture, and a modernized sonic core built for today’s dystopian landscape. It’s the sound of a band refusing stagnation, constantly rewriting their own rulebook.
“Burn This World [EVOLVED]” stands as proof that The Browning are not content to live in past victories. Instead, they continue to adapt, mutate, and push their hybrid sound into more aggressive and future-forward territory—where metal, electronics, and chaos collide at full force.
This evolution isn’t about nostalgia. It’s about dominance.

Canadian alt-metal trailblazer ONI has returned with a soul-piercing new single, “Shouldn’t Feel This Way,” a powerful acoustic ballad that peels back the distortion to reveal raw emotion and heartbreak. Out now on all platforms, the track marks a distinct shift in tone for ONI—showcasing a softer, more vulnerable side of project founder Jake Oni.
“‘Shouldn’t Feel This Way’ is about mourning the loss of someone really close to you, and the constant struggle in life to live without feeling lost and alone… It isn’t like anything I have released before. I got to shoot the video on my farm in Canada which is a very important place for me.”
Co-written with John Boecklin, Seth Evans, and Kile Odell, the track follows the recent cover of The Kooks’ “Naive” and ONI’s emotionally charged Genesis EP, setting the stage for a dynamic and deeply personal year in the band’s evolution.

Formed in 2014, ONI has carved out a unique space in metal with his fusion of progressive songwriting, crushing metalcore, and melodic hooks. From his debut Ironshore (2016) to the powerful sophomore effort Loathing Light (2022) featuring Iggy Pop and Randy Blythe, to the genre-defying The Silver Line (2023) with collabs including Howard Jones and Sueco, Jake Oni has proven he’s one of the scene’s most versatile and ambitious voices.
The Genesis EP (2025) continues that upward trajectory with singles like “Deja Vu,” “Walk Away,” and “Erase” leading the charge.
Oxford-based nu-metal band Arimea has unveiled the official music video for their latest single, Orchid Street, the title track from their debut EP, which is now available.
Drummer Richard Stedman reflects on the track’s personal significance: “‘Orchid Street’ feels like coming home. Musically, it’s a place I’ve sought for years, navigating countless genres and styles without losing our unique voice. For me, it encapsulates my childhood memories but reshaped for the real world—authentic, emotionally raw, and confident in its identity.”
Watch the official music video for ‘Orchid Street’:
A Fresh Take on Nu-Metal The Orchid Street EP showcases Arimea’s refreshingly raw nu-metal style—a nostalgic yet innovative record. Bassist Joe Landles describes the band’s creative evolution: “Sharing something that feels authentically us is incredibly powerful. With previous releases, we played it safe, sticking to conventions. But this EP breaks boundaries, showing we’re unafraid to take risks. We want listeners to instantly recognize Arimea when they hear us, not just blend into the alternative or metal scene.”
Blending elements from the early 2000s nu-metal greats like Flyleaf, P.O.D., Deftones, and Mudvayne, Arimea injects their sound with modern alt-metal dynamics, progressive touches, and even hints of hardcore and hip-hop. Drawing inspiration from bands like Limp Bizkit, Slipknot, and Linkin Park, Arimea’s Orchid Street EP delivers a sound that’s equal parts nostalgic and groundbreaking.
From Humble Beginnings to Post-Pandemic Charge Formed in the aftermath of the pandemic, Arimea worked with acclaimed producer MACHINE, whose portfolio includes heavyweights like Suicide Silence, Coal Chamber, and Lamb of God, to refine their distinctive sound.

This afternoon, the holy ground for heavy music, the sacred space for metal heads, saw the beginning of another glorious chapter for one of the brightest modern metal stars to date. Swedish six-piece AMARANTHE announced the release of their upcoming album The Catalyst live on stage after their bedazzling performance on Wacken’s main stage.
“So at last it is official! This has been a long time in the making, and more effort went into this album than any previous AMARANTHE record. You have already gotten a taste of what’s to come on Damnation Flame, but as the most varied and eclectic AMARANTHE album to date, expect the unexpected! We cover a lot of musical ground on ‘The Catalyst,’ but the core of what we are about creatively is completely intact. It will be immediately obvious that you are listening to AMARANTHE, as much as it will be immediately obvious that this is both a leap forward as well as a step up. Can’t wait for all of you to hear what we have been cooking, as well as seeing us perform these pristine new songs on the road SOON!”, guitar player Olof Mörck states about this moment.
The Catalyst will see the light of day on February 23rd, 2024, via Nuclear Blast Records. The album will be available digitally and in different physical formats including CD, Vinyl, and a 2CD Special Edition.
The Catalyst is the most conceptually coherent piece of work in AMARANTHE’s storied history. Dedicated to notions of transformation and revelation, it delves deeper than any previous album, as Olof Mörck explains.
“We’ve done these things before, but we’ve never been as theatrical as we have this time,” Mörck grins. “In fact, we all questioned whether we went too far this time, but I also figured that this band was always this way. Literally, the first seconds of our first video was a big explosion! But yes, The Catalyst is more theatrical than ever. We’ve never really been symphonic or orchestral before, but this time we just thought why not? Because we can! The key to this album is that we let go of the boundaries and decided to do something even more adventurous.”
The Catalyst represents the culmination of 15 years of hard work and the breathless pursuit of a wholly original musical vision. Change is inevitable. Victory is assured.

Kicking off with their self-titled debut in 2011, the Swedes blazed a trail through the European metal scene and beyond, swiftly establishing themselves as a dazzling one-off, not least due to the unprecedented triple vocal attack that paired clean tones with exquisite melodic sensibilities and feral growls. Over the next few years, the sextet steadily grew in stature, releasing a series of praised studio records that jabbed persistently at the boundaries of modern metal.

In an impressive feat, the band collaborated with The Ultraterrestrial Choir, a 233-voice ensemble made up of fans, friends, and family from around the globe. Each choir member’s contribution was multitracked, resulting in thousands of vocal tracks layered together.
Guitarist Per Nilsson expressed, “‘Xenotaph’ concludes Phase II in an open-ended way, leaving the listener on a bit of a cliffhanger musically as well as lyrically. We felt strongly that ‘Xenotaph’ deserved its own music video, to bring closure to this second part of our Singularity saga and showcase the song to the fullest, and put the spotlight on our amazing, crowd-sourced choir – it is definitely not the last time we will call upon our fans to sing with us!”

German modern metal virtuosos, Equilibrium, have emerged from a period of silence, delighting fans around the world with the release of their highly anticipated new single, ‘Shelter’. After months of contemplation and introspection, the band’s five members found themselves exploring the essence of Equilibrium’s musical and lyrical identity. While adhering to their defining parameters, they embarked on a creative journey, unencumbered by the constraints of overthinking. The result? A powerful composition that epitomizes the phoenix-like resurrection of Equilibrium, fusing guttural vocals, searing riffs, and a remarkable fusion of modern and folk metal. It’s a triumphant return that hints at an exciting new era, as Equilibrium sets their sights on the next three decades of music.
René explains, “We are very motivated and inspired and full of ideas. We want to create music without any compromises and just want to bring the feelings that we had in the studio to the stage. Currently, we’re continuously working on new songs and new shows.” The band’s unwavering dedication and their refusal to settle for anything less than their creative vision promise a thrilling future for Equilibrium fans.
‘Shelter’ was skillfully crafted by René Berthiaume and Cleo Tiger, and expertly mixed by Robin Leijon and René Berthiaume. The final touch came from mastering maestro Dom R. Crey at the Splendid Waves Studios, resulting in a polished sonic experience that captures the essence of Equilibrium’s signature sound.
However, ‘Shelter’ not only signifies the band’s next chapter but also introduces the world to Equilibrium’s new vocalist, Fabian Getto. René recounts the audition process, stating, “We did an open casting call and Fabian sent in a vocal performance of ‘Renegades’ that caught our attention. There was something special about him, and we had to follow this intuition.” From their first meeting, it was clear that the band had discovered a remarkable talent. Fabian’s voice resonated with their music, forging an instant connection and a productive, creative day in the studio. Equilibrium had found the missing piece they were searching for.
