Whitechapel Mark 20 Years of Sonic Destruction with Massive North American Anniversary Tour

Two decades of breakdowns, brutality, and evolution collide this Fall as Whitechapel prepare their biggest headlining tour ever, spanning their entire discography alongside deathcore heavyweights Chelsea Grin, The Acacia Strain, and rising force Netherwalker.

Deathcore titans WHITECHAPEL are celebrating twenty years of relentless heaviness with a monumental North American anniversary tour this Fall, bringing one of the genre’s most influential catalogs back to stages across the continent. Presented by Live Nation, the tour launches November 11th in Atlanta, Georgia and concludes December 18th inside the legendary Caverns venue in Pelham, Tennessee.

For longtime fans of WHITECHAPEL, this is shaping up to be far more than a standard tour cycle. The band has confirmed they’ll be pulling material from their entire discography, revisiting every era of their evolution — from the savage chaos of The Somatic Defilement and This Is Exile to the darker, more atmospheric aggression of recent releases like Hymns In Dissonance. No album is being ignored, making this one of the most ambitious setlists the band has ever attempted.

Guitarist Alex Wade reflected on the milestone with a mixture of gratitude and disbelief, acknowledging that when the band formed back in 2006, nobody expected the journey would still be raging twenty years later. Now, WHITECHAPEL are not only surviving — they’re headlining the largest venues of their career while continuing to push modern deathcore forward.

Joining the anniversary run are genre staples Chelsea Grin and The Acacia Strain, alongside rapidly emerging deathcore force Netherwalker, creating a lineup built to flatten venues night after night.

Fans looking for an elevated experience will have access to exclusive VIP packages and artist presales through Sound Rink beginning June 9th. Packages include general admission, meet-and-greet opportunities, early venue entry, merch access, and exclusive collectibles including a WHITECHAPEL foam hand, signed poster, and VIP laminate.

The tour announcement arrives as WHITECHAPEL continue riding momentum from their latest album, Hymns In Dissonance, released through Metal Blade Records. The record saw the band diving even deeper into punishing territory while sharpening the precision and atmosphere that has defined their later years. Critics praised the album’s uncompromising brutality, with outlets across the heavy music landscape describing it as one of the band’s heaviest and most focused releases in years.

Commercially, the album also made a major impact, landing high placements across multiple Billboard charts including #2 on Current Hard Rock Albums and #4 on Current Rock Albums during its debut week.

For a band that helped define modern deathcore’s DNA, this anniversary tour feels less like nostalgia and more like a statement: WHITECHAPEL are still evolving, still devastating, and still setting the standard twenty years later.

About Hymns In Dissonance:

Released earlier this Spring on Metal Blade Records, WHITECHAPEL’s Hymns In Dissonance debuted at #2 on Billboard’s Current Hard Rock Albums chart, #3 on the Independent Label Current Albums chart, #4 on the Current Rock Albums chart, and #7 on the Digital Albums chart in its first week.

The record showcases the band’s reinvention, diving deeper and heavier than ever before. Guitarist Alex Wade notes, “We attempted to write our heaviest album to date. We wanted to put out something that was shockingly menacing and brutal.”

Critics have lauded the album, with Revolver praising its “blistering attack of ground-fissuring blasts, terror-thrashed guitar melodies and guts-hucking mosh sections.” Metal Injection agreed, calling it “heavy as shit, it’s unrelenting, and it will destroy you.” MetalSucks championed it as “one of WHITECHAPEL’s heaviest offerings since the glory days of The Somatic Defilement and This Is Exile,” adding that it “captures that same raw energy and mouth-frothing rage… but with a new and improved modern twist.” Blabbermouth hailed the band’s “…white-knuckle, weaponized deathcore with brains, brawn, and a point to prove. Hold on to your helmets.”

About Metal Blade Records:
Founded on Brian Slagel’s relentless drive to discover great bands and share their music with as many people as possible, Metal Blade has been bringing waves of powerful, innovative, and genre-defining music to the metal masses since 1982. The label boasts a diverse and stunning catalog, has weathered challenges faced by independent labels, and celebrated its successful four-decade existence in an era of declining record sales.

Metal Blade Records launched legendary bands like Metallica, Slayer, Armored Saint, Fates Warning, GWAR, Cannibal Corpse, Amon Amarth, Whitechapel, The Black Dahlia Murder, Cattle Decapitation, and many more, shaping the culture of hard rock, metal, and extreme music for over forty years.
Brian Slagel, once a record store clerk, reserved a spot for a young Lars Ulrich on his Metal Massacre compilation series, and Metal Blade has since grown from humble beginnings in Los Angeles into an international powerhouse, selling millions of albums while fiercely maintaining its independence. In 2017, Slayer’s Kerry King inducted the label into the Hall of Heavy Metal History.

Slagel’s book “For the Sake of Heaviness: The History of Metal Blade Records” was released the same year.
