amburg death metal veterans Endseeker are taking one final victory lap before retirement, delivering an unexpected but brilliantly heavy cover of David Hasselhoff’s “True Survivor” alongside fellow Hamburg dark rock icons Lord Of The Lost.

After more than a decade of HM-2 soaked riffs, crushing grooves, relentless touring, and unwavering dedication to old-school death metal, German death metal powerhouse Endseeker are preparing to close the chapter on an impressive career. Rather than quietly fading away, the band has chosen to leave fans with one final surprise: a thunderous reimagining of David Hasselhoff’s cult classic “True Survivor,” originally featured in the beloved action-comedy film Kung Fury. The track features special guest appearances from Lord Of The Lost and appears on Endseeker’s farewell EP, Coffin Born, released June 19 through Metal Blade Records.

According to the band, the cover came from a genuine love of the original song and a desire to do something completely outside the expected boundaries of death metal. Inviting Lord Of The Lost into the mix added another layer of personality, creating a collaboration between two Hamburg bands from very different corners of the heavy music world. The result is a surprisingly natural fusion of crushing guitars, infectious hooks, and unapologetic fun.

René recounts the audition process, stating, “We did an open casting call and Fabian sent in a vocal performance of ‘Renegades’ that caught our attention. Fabian’s voice resonated with their music, forging an instant connection and a productive, creative day in the studio. Equilibrium had found the missing piece they were searching for.
