German heavy metal torchbearers unveil another glimpse into their upcoming Metal Blade Records debut, Cold Velvet, blending cinematic atmosphere, haunting melodies, and timeless guitar-driven power.

A New Chapter in German Heavy Metal

Germany’s rising melancholic heavy metal force The Night Eternal continues building anticipation for its upcoming album, Cold Velvet, with the release of its latest single and official music video, “Caught In A Spell.” Scheduled for release on August 21 through Metal Blade Records, the album marks another major step forward for a band that has rapidly become one of Europe’s most exciting modern heavy metal acts.

Formed in 2018, the five-piece has earned widespread recognition for breathing new life into the guitar-driven heavy metal of the 1970s and 1980s while infusing it with gothic atmosphere and contemporary songwriting. Their previous albums, Moonlit Cross (2021) and Fatale (2023), led to tours alongside Blind Guardian, Michael Schenker Group, Angel Witch, and Lucifer, as well as appearances at major European festivals including Wacken Open Air, Hellfest, Summer Breeze, Alcatraz, and Hell’s Heroes.

Heavy Metal for the Midnight Highway

With its hypnotic groove, soaring chorus, and cinematic pacing, “Caught In A Spell” captures the feeling of endless nighttime highways and restless wanderlust. The song balances memorable hooks with dark atmosphere, drawing listeners into an immersive blend of melody and power that has become one of The Night Eternal’s defining characteristics.

Directed by Robert Piel, the accompanying music video expands on that vision through striking visuals centered around a Harley-Davidson-riding knight navigating a surreal nocturnal landscape. The cinematic presentation perfectly complements the song’s dreamlike mood while reinforcing the band’s unmistakable aesthetic.

Cold Velvet Expands Their Vision

Rather than revisiting familiar territory, Cold Velvet represents a confident evolution of The Night Eternal’s sound. The album embraces hypnotic rhythms, richly layered guitar work, evocative choruses, and ritualistic energy while preserving the raw spirit of classic heavy metal. Gothic undertones merge naturally with hard-driving metal rock ‘n’ roll, creating a distinctive identity that feels both nostalgic and refreshingly modern.

Recorded between May and December 2025 at Church Of Sound Studios near Munich, the album was produced and mixed by Michael Zech of Secrets Of The Moon, whose production amplifies the band’s atmospheric depth without sacrificing the grit and intensity of its performances.

With Cold Velvet arriving on August 21, “Caught In A Spell” offers an impressive preview of what lies ahead. By combining memorable songwriting, cinematic storytelling, and the timeless power of classic heavy metal, The Night Eternal continues carving out its place among Germany’s new generation of heavy metal artists. Hand of Juno Push “Right Now” Into the Underground With a Relentless Techno Rework

Hand of Juno continue their fearless genre mutation with “Right Now (FASTER Remix)”, a club-focused reimagining of their industrial metal track—out today via Out Of Line Music. The remix strips the song down to pure momentum, trading metallic aggression for pounding low-end pressure and hypnotic repetition designed for dark rooms and late hours.

Rebuilt from the rhythmic spine outward, the FASTER Remix replaces distortion with precision. Driving kicks, glitch-infused textures, and a minimalist pulse transform “Right Now” into a weaponized techno cut—lean, raw, and engineered for underground dancefloors. It’s another sharp turn in the band’s evolution, proving Hand of Juno can dismantle their own sound and reassemble it without losing intensity.

Formed in Italy in 2021, Hand of Juno began as a female-fronted industrial metal trio featuring Melissa Bruschi, Alice Lane Pandini (Infected Rain), and Helly Elisa Montin. After four successful singles, the project evolved—continuing forward without Pandini and expanding its live force with Francesca Mancini (guitar) and Marco Valerio (bass). The result is a darker, more adaptable unit built for both stage and studio.

That adaptability is fully realized on their debut album Psychotic Banana, released via Out Of Line Music. The record collides industrial metal with electronic music, techno, brutal deathcore breakdowns, and deep, cinematic melody. Each track pulls from a different sonic world, creating a volatile listening experience that refuses to sit still.

The album’s title says it all. Psychotic Banana is about change—constant shifts in mood, structure, and intensity that mirror the band’s own journey. Songs escalate and fracture, pushing toward aggression before the closing moments pull back, hinting at a hard-earned moment of stability after chaos.

This momentum has already translated to the stage. Hand of Juno have delivered punishing live sets, shared stages with labelmates ERDLING on tour across Germany, and torn through festival crowds including Summer Breeze Open Air. With each release, their audience grows—and the lines between metal, industrial, and techno continue to dissolve.

ARMORED SAINT Announces Summer 2024 European Tour

Iconic heavy metal powerhouse, ARMORED SAINT, is set to make a triumphant return to European stages in the summer of 2024. The band will embark on a full run of club shows and handpicked festivals, with more dates to be confirmed soon.

Expressing his excitement, ARMORED SAINT vocalist John Bush shares, “What up Euro Saint heads, Long time no talk. Well, that’s about to end. After not performing on European soil since 2019, we’re proud to announce that we will be returning to Europe in the summer of 2024.”

The tour will feature a mix of festival performances, including Wacken, Alcatraz, Rock of Ages, Brutal Assault, and Rockstadt Extreme in Romania—a first for the band. Headline shows are also planned in Germany, Poland, The Netherlands, and a series of five dates in Britain.

Bush adds, “We love Europe and have been frustrated that it has taken so long to come back but, we WILL make up for lost time! Thanks for your patience! Looking forward to playing Punching the Sky songs as well as all the classics and maybe a few deep tracks. See ya soon. Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!”
