🔥 The Browning Ignite a New Era With “Burn This World [EVOLVED]” 💀⚙️

The Browning have officially announced Burn This World [EVOLVED], a reengineered and weaponized evolution of one of their most defining tracks. This isn’t a simple remix or reissue—it’s a full-scale reconstruction designed to hit harder, move faster, and reflect just how far the band’s cyber-metal assault has progressed.

Known for fusing extreme metal brutality with relentless electronic programming, The Browning use [EVOLVED] as both a statement and a warning. The track revisits familiar foundations while amplifying everything—heavier drops, sharper synth architecture, and a modernized sonic core built for today’s dystopian landscape. It’s the sound of a band refusing stagnation, constantly rewriting their own rulebook.

“Burn This World [EVOLVED]” stands as proof that The Browning are not content to live in past victories. Instead, they continue to adapt, mutate, and push their hybrid sound into more aggressive and future-forward territory—where metal, electronics, and chaos collide at full force.

This evolution isn’t about nostalgia. It’s about dominance.

DAWN OF ASHES Drops New Single “HYPERTENSIVE CRISIS” Ahead of Upcoming Album

Los Angeles-founded industrial act DAWN OF ASHES, the project of Kristof Bathory since the turn of the millennium, has unleashed their new single, “HYPERTENSIVE CRISIS,” today, April 18th, 2025, via Metropolis Records.

Links to access the single are available for WAV, MP3, streaming platforms, Bandcamp, and the official music video on YouTube:

DAWN OF ASHES – HYPERTENSIVE CRISIS – OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO (Radio Version).

This new track is a precursor to their forthcoming album, “INFECTING THE SCARS,” set to be released on June 6th, 2025.

Formed with a moniker suggesting ‘the beginning of the end,’ Dawn Of Ashes initially emerged from the industrial and aggrotech scenes, later incorporating blackened metal and extreme industrial elements. For over two decades, Bathory and the band have consistently pushed the boundaries of extreme music.

Relocating to Denmark, the upcoming album “Infecting The Scars” marks a return to Dawn Of Ashes’ aggrotech roots, infused with a heightened level of intensity and maturity. It is described as a rebirth, blending past aggression with a refined modern sound. The lyrics and sound delve into psychological horror, inner turmoil, and the scars left by life’s harsh experiences, moving beyond mere destructive anthems.

Regarding the new single, “Hypertensive Crisis,” Kristof Bathory states it’s a conscious effort to “recapture the nostalgia of our early era while seamlessly blending it with fresh, modern elements. Evolution and maturity – both in sound and lyrics – are crucial to the creative process. Artistic growth has allowed this project to delve deeper, delivering more meaningful lyrics that evoke horror through the lens of psychosis. This song is a perfect example, showcasing a fully realised version of our classic sound, reimagined with a new intensity and depth.”

The move to Denmark also signals an expansion of Dawn Of Ashes’ live presence, with European tour dates in development alongside planned shows in Mexico, promising widespread chaos and horror.

INFECTING THE SCARS TRACKLISTING:

  1. Intro – Made In Hell
  2. Infecting The Scars
  3. Bone Saw (feat. Alien Vampires)

Formed in 2014, ONI has carved out a unique space in metal with his fusion of progressive songwriting, crushing metalcore, and melodic hooks. DROUTH Announces New Album The Teeth of Time – Out May 16th via Eternal Warfare Records 🔥⚔️

New Single “False Grail” Streaming Now! 🎶💀

Portland’s blackened death metal force DROUTH returns this spring with the highly anticipated release of their third full-length album, The Teeth of Time, arriving May 16th via Eternal Warfare Records. Following their critically acclaimed 2020 release Excerpts From a Dread Liturgy, the new record is an unrelenting storm of doom-laden intensity, existential dread, and sonic brutality.

A Manifestation of Torment and Chaos 🖤🔥

DROUTH comments on the upcoming release:
“We are proud to present The Teeth of Time, a culmination of several years of blood, sweat, and pain. It is a nightmare made manifest, and we are both eager to share our creative work and grateful to the many people who helped make it possible.”

To mark the album’s announcement, the band has unveiled “False Grail,” a harrowing preview of the hellscape awaiting listeners within The Teeth of Time. First premiered at Invisible Oranges, the track delivers an ominous, suffocating atmosphere that perfectly sets the tone for the album.

Matt Solis on “False Grail”:

“‘False Grail’ was the last song we wrote before entering the studio. It came together relatively quickly based on ideas that Stikker brought in—he had it well fleshed out, but we expanded the closing doom section to really emphasize the dynamic shift in the song. We also knew we wanted string accompaniment, so we had Eva Vonne from Isenordal add mournful viola layers after tracking was completed.”

Matt Stikker on the Song’s Concept:

“Lyrically, the song is a nightmare reflecting the disconnect between the true and projected self, and the increasing tension between those poles that we all experience. The map is not the territory, but when the map prefigures and gradually dictates the territory, our agency is threatened forever.”

ALLEGAEON Unleashes “The Swarm” Video Ahead of The Ossuary Lens Release + North American Tour Kicks Off Next Week 🎸🔥

Technical death metal visionaries ALLEGAEON have just dropped their latest single, “The Swarm,” accompanied by a powerful new video, now premiering at Metal Injection. The track is taken from their forthcoming full-length album, The Ossuary Lens, set to be released on April 4th, 2025, via Metal Blade Records.

🔗 Watch “The Swarm” Now

Guitarist Greg Burgess shares insight into the track’s origins:
“This is a piece written by [guitarist] Michael Stancel. The frantic intro riff was actually written on tour in the UK on a boat in Bristol. I remember filming him playing it so we wouldn’t forget how to play it. The show was sold out and ruled, and then all of our gear got rained on because they had us load out so they could have a disco after the show. Shame!”

Stancel adds:
“If I could have set that venue adrift, I would have—but at least we got a song out of it.”

New Album on the Horizon

Last month, DIMMU BORGIR returned to the studio with longtime producer Fredrik Nordström to craft the highly anticipated follow-up to 2018’s Eonian. This marks the band’s first album since the departure of longtime guitarist Galder (Thomas Rune Andersen) in August 2024.

In a recent interview with Jerry Kurunen of Rauta, guitarist Silenoz discussed the creative process behind the new material:

“We’ve been working on new material for quite a while. Even during the pandemic, we were each developing ideas individually before coming together to create something truly unique. We take our time to ensure that every album surpasses expectations, and this one will be no different.”

Although details remain scarce, Silenoz hinted at a return to a heavier, more orchestrated sound reminiscent of Abrahadabra and Eonian.

DIMMU BORGIR: Evolution & Lineup Stability

Over the years, DIMMU BORGIR has evolved from its raw Norwegian black metal roots into a symphonic powerhouse, blending cinematic orchestration with blistering intensity. Speaking on the band’s stylistic changes, Silenoz noted:

“We’ve never confined ourselves to traditional labels. Every album represents growth. Whether it’s the orchestrations of ‘Abrahadabra’ or the atmospheric elements of ‘Eonian,’ our music constantly evolves. The new album will take on its own life.”

Despite various lineup changes, the band’s core remains strong. DIMMU BORGIR’s official lineup is now:

🎤 Shagrath (Stian Tomt Thoresen) – Lead Vocals
🎸 Silenoz (Sven Atle Kopperud) – Rhythm Guitar
🥁 Dariusz “Daray” Brzozowski – Session Drums (since 2008)
🎹 Geir “Gerlioz” Bratland – Session Keyboards (since 2010)
🎸 Victor Brandt – Session Bass (since 2018)

Recent Releases & The Band’s Legacy

DIMMU BORGIR’s last full-length album, Eonian, was released in 2018, coinciding with the band’s 25th anniversary. The album solidified their reputation as one of symphonic metal’s most innovative forces, followed by worldwide tours and festival appearances.

In December 2023, they released Inspiratio Profanus, a collection of cover songs via Nuclear Blast Records. The compilation featured VENOM‘s thunderous “Black Metal”, DEEP PURPLE‘s “Perfect Strangers”, TWISTED SISTER‘s “Burn in Hell”, and classic renditions of CELTIC FROST, among others.

During the Inferno Festival, former band members ICS Vortex, Mustis, and Tjodalv rejoined DIMMU BORGIR on stage to perform “The Insight And The Catharsis” from their 1999 album Spiritual Black Dimensions, marking a nostalgic moment for longtime fans.

DIMMU BORGIR Teams Up with Fredrik Nordström for Highly Anticipated Album

Norwegian symphonic black metal titans DIMMU BORGIR have officially entered the studio with longtime collaborator and producer Fredrik Nordström. Fans are eagerly speculating that this marks the creation of their much-anticipated follow-up to 2018’s Eonian.

Earlier today, the band shared a behind-the-scenes glimpse of their recording process, posting a photo of drummer Dariusz “Daray” Brzozowski in the studio alongside Nordström, captioned simply, “#studiotime.”

This forthcoming album also represents a significant transition for the band, following the August 2024 departure of guitarist Galder (Thomas Rune Andersen), a longtime member of DIMMU BORGIR’s infernal core.

In a March 2024 interview during the Inferno Festival in Oslo, guitarist Silenoz (Sven Atle Kopperud) shared insights into the band’s creative process. He explained:

“We’ve been working on new material for a while. Even during the pandemic, we used our downtime to work individually before collaborating to create something unique. Fans want a new album quickly, but we’d rather take the time to make something better than good.”

Discussing their stylistic evolution, Silenoz noted the band’s shift away from traditional black metal early in their career:

“Even on our first album, we began exploring beyond the ‘underground black metal’ label. Each album represents a natural progression, and we’ve never set boundaries for our creativity. ‘Eonian’ leaned more into orchestration, but who knows what the next album will bring?”

DIMMU BORGIR’s lineup has seen many transformations over the years. Reflecting on this, Silenoz said:

“After so many years, you understand yourself and your bandmates better. It’s not just about writing music—it’s about getting along offstage too. Age and experience have helped us maintain a more stable lineup.”

Currently, DIMMU BORGIR’s official lineup comprises Shagrath (lead vocals) and Silenoz (rhythm guitar), supported by session musicians Daray (drums), Geir “Gerlioz” Bratland (keyboards), and Victor Brandt (bass).

Released in 2018 to commemorate the band’s 25th anniversary, Eonian was an ambitious effort that expanded the symphonic elements first introduced with 2010’s Abrahadabra. Following its release, DIMMU BORGIR toured globally, captivating audiences at legendary festivals like Wacken Open Air and Hellfest.

In December 2023, the band unveiled Inspiratio Profanus, a compilation of electrifying covers from metal legends such as VENOM, DEEP PURPLE, and CELTIC FROST.

Fans were treated to a nostalgic moment at Inferno Festival 2024 when three former members — bassist/clean vocalist ICS Vortex, keyboardist Mustis, and drummer Tjodalv — joined DIMMU BORGIR on stage to perform The Insight And The Catharsis from their 1999 album Spiritual Black Dimensions.

As DIMMU BORGIR begins work on their new album, the metal world awaits what promises to be another boundary-pushing masterpiece from one of the genre’s most innovative bands. Stay tuned for more updates as they emerge from the studio.

SYLOSIS REVEAL VIDEO FOR TITLE TRACK OF NEW ALBUM’A SIGN OF THINGS TO COME’

The UK’s heavy metal machine SYLOSIS unveils the title track of their brand-new album, ‘A Sign Of Things To Come’. The new song speaks from Josh Middleton’s position as a new father and his fears of the world that his children will one day inherit.

Josh comments “‘A Sign Of Things To Come’ is a declaration of dismay towards the modern world. It’s about the anxiety of what the future holds and the feeling of division in a society where everyone is pitted against each other. This was the last song to be written for the album. It quickly became apparent that this was going to be one of the biggest, most anthemic songs on the record.”

“This is the first time I’ve allowed myself to be produced; taking on some brutal criticism and pushing myself to deliver the best vocal performance of my career. I’m a big fan of progressive and long albums, but I was ruthless on myself during the whole process. I think that shows in the final result on the record!” Josh states.
