“We unleashed our videographers into the crowd to brave the pit and capture the energy,” says guitarist Sungwoo Jeong. “They survived—and we’re glad we captured that amazing show for all eternity.”

“‘False Grail’ was the last song we wrote before entering the studio. We also knew we wanted string accompaniment, so we had Eva Vonne from Isenordal add mournful viola layers after tracking was completed.”

“Lyrically, the song is a nightmare reflecting the disconnect between the true and projected self, and the increasing tension between those poles that we all experience. The map is not the territory, but when the map prefigures and gradually dictates the territory, our agency is threatened forever.”
