The titans of futurepop, VNV Nation, helmed by the visionary Ronan Harris, have once again expanded their sonic empire with the release of their twelfth studio album, “Construct,” on May 9th, 2025, via their own Anachron Sounds imprint. Following the critically acclaimed “Electric Sun,” “Construct” marks another significant step in VNV Nation’s evolution, delivering a meticulously crafted collection of ten tracks that seamlessly blend their signature anthemic beats with profound emotional and lyrical depth.

Originally conceived as part of a double album project titled “Construct // Destruct,” the sheer scope and distinct character of each collection led Harris to ultimately release them as two separate entities. “Construct,” as its name suggests, leans towards a more positive and forward-looking sonic architecture. Ronan Harris himself has described the album as exploring the duality within us, the “two wolves” vying for dominance, and the importance of acknowledging our shadow selves to find balance. He also hinted that fans of their classic track “Illusion” would find much to embrace within this new offering.

“Construct” builds upon VNV Nation’s established sound while pushing its boundaries. From the pulsing energy of the previously released singles “Silence Speaks,” “Station 21,” and “By Your Side,” to the emotive and orchestrally-inspired moments found in tracks like “Nothing More” and the epic “Frontier I + II,” the album offers a dynamic and immersive listening experience.
