Los Angeles heavy hitters Fatalist return with a punishing new visual statement that drags modern metalcore back into the gutter — and dares you to sit with it.
Released just 14 hours ago, LOWLIFE marks the latest chapter in the evolving sonic identity of Fatalist, a project that continues to blur the lines between nu-core aggression, modern metal brutality, and raw emotional confrontation.
There’s no polish-for-radio here. LOWLIFE hits like a clenched jaw and a swinging fist — intentional, uncomfortable, and unapologetically real.
⚠️ A VIDEO THAT STARES BACK
The official music video for LOWLIFE doesn’t just accompany the track — it amplifies it. Shot with a stripped-down, confrontational visual style, the video places the viewer face-to-face with the band’s raw intensity. Stark lighting, claustrophobic framing, and chaotic performance energy combine to mirror the song’s internal tension.
This isn’t escapism. It’s confrontation.
The visuals feel grounded in the same emotional weight as the music — a reflection of frustration, self-awareness, and the grind of existing at the margins. Every frame reinforces the feeling that LOWLIFE isn’t a character — it’s a mirror.
🔥 LOS ANGELES DNA, NO COMPROMISE
Forged in Los Angeles, California, Fatalist channels the city’s volatile underground energy into a sound that feels both modern and feral. This is music born from concrete, sweat-soaked rooms, and the pressure of a scene that doesn’t hand anything out for free.
LOWLIFE continues the band’s trajectory of releases that prioritize impact over comfort, proving Fatalist isn’t chasing trends — they’re documenting a state of mind shaped by survival, grit, and defiance.
New Album Cross Me Twice Drops March 28th + U.S. Summer Tour Announced! 🎸
The countdown is officially on! Phoenix-based nu-metal powerhouse SICKSENSE is gearing up for the release of their highly anticipated debut full-length album, Cross Me Twice, arriving March 28th via Earache Records. As the final taste before the album’s drop, the band has just unveiled their electrifying new single, “Follow Me”, a track packed with raw emotion, crushing riffs, and anthemic melodies.
Co-vocalist Killer V shares the deep meaning behind the track:
“‘Follow Me’ is about two people being together at the wrong place at the wrong time in that point of their lives. It’s a story of realizing and acknowledging that they just aren’t meant to be together. It doesn’t mean they’re bad people, they just aren’t right for each other.
We’re all flawed, we’ve all done or said things we regret. Growth comes from learning from our mistakes, recognizing when we’re wrong, and moving forward.
I love that this is the final track on Cross Me Twice. It doesn’t leave on a positive or negative note—it leaves the future open with possibilities, just like our journey as a band.”
🔥 Cross Me Twice – Out March 28th!

From the creative minds of Vicky “Killer V” Psarakis (ex-The Agonist) and Rob The Ripper (Stuck Mojo), SICKSENSE is redefining nu-metal with a fresh, high-energy approach. Featuring Agent Phil (guitar), The Gothfather (bass), and Smokin’ J (drums), the band fuses nu-metal, metalcore, and electronic elements to create a genre-defying sound.
🎵 Listen to previous singles:Wildfires, On Repeat, Masquerade Parade, and In This Carousel.
Killer V on Cross Me Twice:
“Cross Me Twice takes listeners on an emotional rollercoaster. We’ve evolved from our traditional nu-metal roots by incorporating modern metal and electronic elements. The heavy parts got heavier, the soft parts got softer, and the catchy parts got catchier.
We faced challenges while making this album, parting ways with former members and bringing in new ones. Those struggles inspired the lyrics, making this our most personal and powerful record yet.
Working with producer Joey Doherty elevated the record’s sound to the next level, and we believe this will be one of the best-sounding albums of 2025. We poured our hearts into this, and we hope it resonates with our fans just as much as it does with us.”

Portland’s blackened death metal force DROUTH returns this spring with the highly anticipated release of their third full-length album, The Teeth of Time, arriving May 16th via Eternal Warfare Records. Following their critically acclaimed 2020 release Excerpts From a Dread Liturgy, the new record is an unrelenting storm of doom-laden intensity, existential dread, and sonic brutality.
A Manifestation of Torment and Chaos 🖤🔥
DROUTH comments on the upcoming release: “We are proud to present The Teeth of Time, a culmination of several years of blood, sweat, and pain. It is a nightmare made manifest, and we are both eager to share our creative work and grateful to the many people who helped make it possible.”
To mark the album’s announcement, the band has unveiled “False Grail,” a harrowing preview of the hellscape awaiting listeners within The Teeth of Time. First premiered at Invisible Oranges, the track delivers an ominous, suffocating atmosphere that perfectly sets the tone for the album.
Matt Solis on “False Grail”:
“‘False Grail’ was the last song we wrote before entering the studio. It came together relatively quickly based on ideas that Stikker brought in—he had it well fleshed out, but we expanded the closing doom section to really emphasize the dynamic shift in the song. We also knew we wanted string accompaniment, so we had Eva Vonne from Isenordal add mournful viola layers after tracking was completed.”
Matt Stikker on the Song’s Concept:
“Lyrically, the song is a nightmare reflecting the disconnect between the true and projected self, and the increasing tension between those poles that we all experience. The map is not the territory, but when the map prefigures and gradually dictates the territory, our agency is threatened forever.”

Knotfest described it as “reasserting their position as innovators and leaders in the deathcore genre,” while New Transcendence called it “a cinematic, crushing experience.”No Clean Singing praised its “primal intensity and potent, primitive nihilism,” likening it to acts like Black Tongue and Humanity’s Last Breath, but with a stripped-down, raw approach.

Drummer Richard Stedman reflects on the track’s personal significance: “‘Orchid Street’ feels like coming home. Watch the official music video for ‘Orchid Street’:
A Fresh Take on Nu-Metal The Orchid Street EP showcases Arimea’s refreshingly raw nu-metal style—a nostalgic yet innovative record. Bassist Joe Landles describes the band’s creative evolution: “Sharing something that feels authentically us is incredibly powerful. With previous releases, we played it safe, sticking to conventions. But this EP breaks boundaries, showing we’re unafraid to take risks. We want listeners to instantly recognize Arimea when they hear us, not just blend into the alternative or metal scene.”
Blending elements from the early 2000s nu-metal greats like Flyleaf, P.O.D., Deftones, and Mudvayne, Arimea injects their sound with modern alt-metal dynamics, progressive touches, and even hints of hardcore and hip-hop. Drawing inspiration from bands like Limp Bizkit, Slipknot, and Linkin Park, Arimea’s Orchid Street EP delivers a sound that’s equal parts nostalgic and groundbreaking.
From Humble Beginnings to Post-Pandemic Charge Formed in the aftermath of the pandemic, Arimea worked with acclaimed producer MACHINE, whose portfolio includes heavyweights like Suicide Silence, Coal Chamber, and Lamb of God, to refine their distinctive sound.

“You’ll Never Learn” is about the people you keep around in your life that continue to make the same mistakes without making a change. Chances and patience run out, people will only stick by you for so long. Keep those true to you close, and drop that dead weight.”We shot this video across our two performances at the UK festivals Bloodstock and Download, and Loki Films managed to capture the utter chaos that ensued. Crack open a tinnie, roll a joint, bang your head or do whatever you do and enjoy the carnage of ‘YOU’LL NEVER LEARN.'” Along with our brand new video, we are supremely buzzing to announce that we will be washing Europe and the UK in oceans of blood with our dear friends Lorna Shore, Rivers Of Nihil, and Distant this autumn! ABOUT INGESTED: Ingested are the flagbearers of modern UK death metal. They have been churning out bilious anti-anthems for more than a decade-and-a-half, dropping a string of releases that have helped shape the genre. They return with Ashes Lie Still, their most dynamic, inventive, and daring release to date, holding nothing back. The band describes it as “a modern essential. It still has the core Ingested elements of groovy slamming riffs, quick drumming, and guttural vocals but there’s also atmosphere, ethereal moments, and some raw old school aggression.” Over the course of 10 tracks, Ingested hack, slash, and steamroll through everything in their path, and Ashes Lie Still easily stands as the highpoint of an already impressive career. Founded in 2006 in Manchester, England, Ingested have since toured extensively with Cannibal Corpse, The Black Dahlia Murder, Nile, Carnifex, and Revocation, and have been seen on European festival stages including Summer Breeze Open Air. Slimmed down to a three-piece, the band feels it is in the best place it ever has been, enabling the members to work at the top of their game.
Ashes Lie Still was mixed and mastered by Christian Donaldson. It was co-produced by the band and previous collaborator Nico Beninato, with drummer Lyn Jeffs living close to Beninato’s studio in Mallorca and recording his drums there, while Sean Hynes recorded his guitars at home in the UK with the producer assisting remotely. Vocal tracking was interrupted by Jason Evans falling seriously ill when finally making it to Mallorca and was ultimately tracked back in Manchester.
