Dawn Of Ashes have returned with “Penumbra,” a devastating new collaborative single featuring Suicide Commando, officially released on January 23, 2026 via Metropolis Records. The track marks the first strike from Anatomy Of Suffering, the forthcoming full-length album from Dawn Of Ashes, arriving March 20, 2026.

Dark, oppressive, and unrelenting, “Penumbra” is a deliberate descent into shadow—one that bridges eras of industrial extremity while sharpening the knives for what’s to come 💀

A Reunion of Darkness ⚙️

“Penumbra” channels the suffocating atmosphere and raw aggression that defined early-2000s dark electro, but with modern precision and absolute hostility. The collaboration unites Dawn Of Ashes founder Kristof Bathory with Suicide Commando’s Johan Van Roy, resulting in a track that feels ritualistic, confrontational, and merciless.

Bathory describes the single as both a nostalgic invocation and a warning shot—setting the tone for Anatomy Of Suffering while serving as a prelude to the chaos ahead. This is not a throwback; it’s a reckoning.

Anatomy Of Suffering: The Descent Continues 🩸

Anatomy Of Suffering follows the band’s 2025 release Infecting The Scars, a rebirth forged after Bathory’s relocation to Denmark. That album fused the unfiltered violence of Dawn Of Ashes’ early years with a refined, evolved sonic architecture. Its remix companion, Reinfecting The Scars, expanded that vision further.

FRONTAL BOUNDARY signs with Alfa Matrix and debuts with the explosive EBM/industrial EP, “Hate.”

Brace yourself for a full-frontal sonic assault as FRONTAL BOUNDARY unleash “Hate”, the explosive new EP that marks the band’s first strike from their upcoming full-length album “Failure” – and also celebrates their signing to leading electro-industrial label Alfa Matrix, home to genre-defining acts like FRONT 242, UNTER NULL, POUPPEE FABRIKK, ALIEN VAMPIRES or yet KOMOR KOMMANDO.

With “Hate”, FRONTAL BOUNDARY channels raw aggression and emotional turmoil into a blistering EBM/industrial anthem. “This track voices the fury felt toward those who constantly try to keep you down”, explains vocalist Krz Souls. Brendin Ross (ex-BILE, ex-INVA//ID, Dawn of Ashes, and Bornless Fire), the band’s founding member and instrumental powerhouse behind FRONTAL BOUNDARY is indeed joined by Krz Souls (ex-INVA//ID, Dawn of Ashes, Bornless Fire) on vocals and Jaysen Craves (Livernois) on synths.

Melding fire and ice, chaos and control, FRONTAL BOUNDARY’s signature sound fuses dense industrial rhythms, driving EBM beats, dark melodic leads, and infectious synthpop textures – topped with harsh, emotional vocals that sometimes veer into future pop territory. SUICIDE COMMANDO Unveils “FINAL STAGE” EP (Out July 18) – First Single “DE WEG” Drops June 5! 🎧 – 💀

Belgian electro-industrial pioneer Suicide Commando is set to unleash their powerful new EP, “Final Stage,” on July 18, 2025, via Out Of Line Music. Available on limited edition CD and transparent red vinyl, this release is a raw, stripped-down, and uncompromising return to the project’s roots, embodying a ferocious essence.

“Back to the essence, back to the core! No compromises, no frills, no stupid fashion show…” states Johan Van Roy, emphasizing the EP’s focused intensity.

A Modern Reinterpretation of a Classic

This six-track EP isn’t just a trip down memory lane; it’s a complete transformation. “Final Stage” features five radically reimagined versions of tracks from Suicide Commando’s influential 1994 debut album, Critical Stage. These aren’t mere remixes, but full-scale modern reinterpretations designed to showcase how Critical Stage would sound if crafted with today’s cutting-edge production, all while retaining its classic aggression.

The EP also includes “De weg,” a significant milestone as the first Suicide Commando song ever performed in Johan Van Roy’s native Dutch. Fans won’t have to wait long for a taste of this new material, as “De weg” will be released as the first single on June 5, 2025.

Venue Details

Dark Force Fest will take place at the Sheraton Parsippany Hotel in Parsippany, NJ, just one hour from New York City. This castle-style hotel boasts 44,000 square feet of event space and 370 hotel rooms. While accommodations at the main venue sold out quickly, there are still rooms available at overflow hotels in the surrounding area.
