Confusion Inc. has just released “Crawler (DJ Mixes),” a new remix-focused drop from dark electronic artist Slighter. Reimagined for the dancefloor, the release gives Crawler a full DJ remix treatment—reshaped with club-ready energy and deeper rhythmic pressure.
Adding extra weight for dedicated listeners, the release also includes a Bandcamp-exclusive “dub” version, stripping things down to their raw, hypnotic core. It’s a release designed for late-night sets, industrial-adjacent dancefloors, and anyone who prefers their electronics dark, immersive, and functional.
Crawler (DJ Mixes) is available now, continuing Confusion Inc.’s steady output of forward-leaning underground electronic releases.
After more than ten years of silence, Empyrean Asunder resurface with a striking stylistic pivot. Their new single “I Confess,” released January 2, 2026, marks a decisive move away from metal-rooted aggression and into industrial dance and EBSM territory—dark, seductive, and built for the club floor.
With over two decades of evolution behind them, Empyrean Asunder have continuously refused to stay confined to one sound. From black and industrial metal origins to anti-industrial rock, the project now embraces a pulse-driven electronic identity. “I Confess” introduces this new era with sinister, bass-heavy rhythms and a sleek, modern edge reminiscent of Gesaffelstein, while maintaining the project’s trademark darkness.
The release also includes “Everyone Wants To Be You,” a club-ready anthem elevated by the commanding vocal presence of Victoria Graves. Her delivery cuts through the dense electronics with confidence and intensity, making both tracks immediate standouts for goth and industrial dancefloors alike.
Produced by Jerry Barksdale, the single balances infectious earworm melodies with moments of vulnerability and cathartic screams. Massive synth work drives the tracks forward, while deeply personal lyrics add emotional weight beneath the relentless electronic momentum. It’s a combination that rewards repeated listens and signals a fully realized transformation.
Long known as an auditory manifestation of societal decay, Empyrean Asunder continue to channel chaos through sound and vision. Even as the genre framework shifts, the project’s core remains intact—harsh, theatrical, and unflinchingly confrontational.
Project Background & Evolution
Empyrean Asunder is the solo project of multi-instrumentalist Jerry Barksdale, a prolific force in extreme music circles, also known for work in The Promise Of Plague (black/death metal), Then We Died (grindcore), and Grief Cathedral (funeral doom/sludge). Conceived as an experimental outlet, the project frequently collaborates with different musicians, allowing each release to redefine its identity.
Rather than adhering to a fixed genre, Empyrean Asunder moves through distinct creative eras:
Black Metal Era Early releases such as Wrought In Dreams (1999) explored raw, avant-garde black/doom metal.
Industrial Metal & Anti-Industrial Rock Era Albums including The Human Virus (2005), Love At Your Own Risk (2006), They Call Her The Cure (2008), Hate (2013), and Serpent (2014) fused metal and punk with harsh industrial textures.
Electro-Industrial / Techno Era (Present) The current chapter pushes fully into electronic territory, incorporating EBM, darkwave, and techno influences—anchored by the 2026 release of “I Confess.”
The US electro-industrial institution returns with a harrowing new single, setting the emotional and thematic tone for the upcoming album On Enmity.
Flesh Field have released “Supplication”, a stark and emotionally devastating new single out now via Metropolis Records. The track arrives as a study in absence, grief, and survival—less about healing, more about learning how to exist inside the wreckage left behind.
💀 A Song About Longing That Never Ends “This song explores the ache of longing for what is absent and will never return,” explains founder Ian Ross. “That longing itself eventually becomes the only reason to continue on despite the knowledge that it will never be fulfilled.” “Supplication” doesn’t offer resolution. Instead, it dwells in the tension between memory and endurance, where persistence itself becomes an act of defiance.
💀 From Survival to Adaptation: On Enmity The single appears on Flesh Field’s forthcoming full-length On Enmity, due February 20, 2026. Described as the most personal material Ross has ever written, the album documents life after trauma—dissecting damage, chronicling endurance, and confronting the reality that survival is not always a choice. This is not an album about recovery. It is about adaptation to ruin.
💀 A Legacy Reforged On Enmity follows a powerful resurgence for Flesh Field. After resurrecting the project in 2023 with the concept album Voice of the Echo Chamber—exploring stages of political radicalization—Ross expanded the narrative with the Voice of Reason EP in 2024. In 2025, the band’s foundational works Viral Extinction (1999) and Belief Control (2001) were remastered and reissued, reaffirming their lasting impact on the electro-industrial canon.
A collision of dark electro titans signals the opening wound of a brutal new era.
Dawn Of Ashes have returned with “Penumbra,” a devastating new collaborative single featuring Suicide Commando, officially released on January 23, 2026 via Metropolis Records. The track marks the first strike from Anatomy Of Suffering, the forthcoming full-length album from Dawn Of Ashes, arriving March 20, 2026.
Dark, oppressive, and unrelenting, “Penumbra” is a deliberate descent into shadow—one that bridges eras of industrial extremity while sharpening the knives for what’s to come 💀
A Reunion of Darkness ⚙️
“Penumbra” channels the suffocating atmosphere and raw aggression that defined early-2000s dark electro, but with modern precision and absolute hostility. The collaboration unites Dawn Of Ashes founder Kristof Bathory with Suicide Commando’s Johan Van Roy, resulting in a track that feels ritualistic, confrontational, and merciless.
Bathory describes the single as both a nostalgic invocation and a warning shot—setting the tone for Anatomy Of Suffering while serving as a prelude to the chaos ahead. This is not a throwback; it’s a reckoning.
Anatomy Of Suffering: The Descent Continues 🩸
Anatomy Of Suffering follows the band’s 2025 release Infecting The Scars, a rebirth forged after Bathory’s relocation to Denmark. That album fused the unfiltered violence of Dawn Of Ashes’ early years with a refined, evolved sonic architecture. Its remix companion, Reinfecting The Scars, expanded that vision further.
Now, with Anatomy Of Suffering, the band pushes even deeper—into pain, decay, and psychological collapse—continuing a legacy that has relentlessly evolved for over two decades 💀
Acts Of Destruction: 2026 U.S. West Coast Tour 🔥
The release of “Penumbra” lands on the eve of Dawn Of Ashes’ Acts Of Destruction U.S. West Coast tour, kicking off in Los Angeles—the city where the project was born at the turn of the millennium.

German electro-industrial institution Wumpscut is set to expand its formidable discography with Zuckerpuppe, a new eight-track album arriving April 3, 2026 via Betonkopf Media. The release continues Wumpscut’s long-standing commitment to tightly curated, collector-focused physical editions while reinforcing the project’s uncompromising sonic identity.
🍬 A Limited Physical Statement
Zuckerpuppe (German for “sugar baby”) will be issued in two carefully crafted formats. The vinyl edition arrives as a 300-copy yellow LP, pressed using direct metal mastering and housed in a heavy 3 mm spine outer sleeve, accompanied by a four-colour printed inner sleeve. True to Betonkopf Media tradition, this pressing is strictly limited worldwide.
The CD edition follows the label’s distinctive “Back is Front” presentation, featuring a 12-page full-colour booklet and the same eight-track running order as the LP. Both formats emphasize tactile design and archival longevity, hallmarks of the Wumpscut catalogue.
⚙️ Prelude to the Album
Ahead of the album’s release, Wumpscut issued the “Zerebral Date (Zuckerpuppe Remix Contest Kit)” digitally via Bandcamp in late 2025. The release provided stems and production material connected to the new album, inviting reinterpretation while offering an early glimpse into the Zuckerpuppe sonic framework.
🧨 Additional Vinyl Releases Confirmed
The April 3, 2026 date also marks the arrival of two further Wumpscut vinyl titles:
“Evoke – Provoke” reissued on light blue 180-gram vinyl
“Homicide Bajazzo”, a remix double LP, also pressed on 180-gram vinyl
Each of these editions is likewise limited to 300 copies, reinforcing the label’s scarcity-driven release philosophy.
🩸 About Wumpscut
Founded in 1991 by Bavarian DJ and producer Rudolf Ratzinger, Wumpscut emerged from southern Germany’s club scene before becoming a defining force in electro-industrial music. Early works like Music for a Slaughtering Tribe, Bunkertor 7, and Embryodead established a brutal, sample-driven aesthetic that would influence an entire generation.
From the late 1990s onward, Ratzinger released much of his output through Betonkopf Media, while select titles reached the U.S. via Metropolis Records. Landmark albums including Boeses Junges Fleisch, Wreath of Barbs, Bone Peeler, and Evoke cemented Wumpscut’s global reputation.
Following an extensive run of releases through the 2000s and early 2010s, Ratzinger briefly signaled an end to new material after Wüterich (2016). That silence was broken with Fledermavs 303 (2021), followed by a steady resurgence through For Those About To Starve, Poison Cookie, Schlossgheist, and Chew Chew Chew.
Now, with Zuckerpuppe, Wumpscut once again proves that the project remains as focused, confrontational, and meticulously constructed as ever.
⚙️ .SYS Machine returns with a commanding new single titled “Doubtless,” released via Glitch Mode Recordings. Built on precision-driven electronic architecture and industrial tension, the track delivers a focused, unflinching sound designed for dark rooms, late nights, and underground systems.
🔊 “Doubtless” moves with mechanical certainty. Relentless rhythms lock into place while layered synth structures create pressure and forward momentum. The track avoids excess, choosing discipline and intent instead—each element contributing to a tightly controlled atmosphere that feels cold, powerful, and deliberate.
🖤 This release marks another confident step forward for .SYS Machine, reinforcing the project’s reputation for sharp sound design and uncompromising electronic identity. It’s a track that doesn’t ask for attention—it commands it.
The second single from j:dead, titled “Disgusting,” lands on January 2, 2026, via Infacted Recordings, marking a sharper, more volatile evolution of the project’s sound and intent.
Following the debut single “Pressure,” which centered on emotional strain and resilience, “Disgusting” turns inward with far less restraint. This release confronts the discomfort of self-awareness—those moments when complacency, emotional stagnation, and repetitive personal patterns become impossible to ignore. It’s not reflective for comfort’s sake; it’s reflective because looking away is no longer an option.
A More Aggressive Sonic Identity
Musically, “Disgusting” pushes j:dead further into industrial-rock territory. Distorted synth lines grind against driving rhythms while raw, unfiltered vocals deliver their message with urgency. The track is intentionally abrasive—designed to hit hard in both club environments and alternative live settings, trading subtlety for impact.
A Campaign Built on Progression
This release emphasizes evolution over repetition. Rather than chasing frequency alone, each monthly release exposes a different emotional and sonic dimension of j:dead.
The result is a project unfolding in real time—growing darker, heavier, and more self-aware with every chapter while maintaining a direct connection with listeners.
After years of silence and anticipation, Unter Null continues her long-awaited resurgence with the official music video for “Coming Up To Breathe,” translating raw emotion into a powerful visual statement that cuts straight to the core.
A Visual Reckoning 🖤 “Coming Up To Breathe” has already resonated deeply as a comeback track—equal parts defiance, vulnerability, and survival. With the release of its official music video, Unter Null elevates the song into a cinematic experience, pairing stark imagery with the relentless emotional weight that defined her earlier legacy while signaling a sharpened, more intentional evolution.
Rather than relying on excess or spectacle, the video leans into atmosphere and tension. Every frame reinforces the song’s central theme: the fight to reclaim identity and breath after prolonged suffocation—personal, creative, and societal. It’s not nostalgia. It’s confrontation.
A Milestone Moment in the Unter Null Revival 🔥 This release marks a significant chapter in Unter Null’s return to the industrial landscape. Long regarded as a defining voice in the aggrotech and dark electro movement, her re-emergence has been measured, deliberate, and uncompromising. The video for “Coming Up To Breathe” stands as both a statement and a promise: this era is not about revisiting the past—it’s about finishing unfinished business.
For longtime followers, it’s a powerful reminder of why Unter Null mattered then. For new listeners, it’s an invitation into a universe built on truth, pressure, and release.
The godfather of Mexican harsh electronics is back. Racso Agroyam—founding member of Hocico and the mind behind the cult industrial project Dulce Líquido—unleashes one final blast of sonic violence before the arrival of his long-awaited new album MIND DOMINATION, out December 19th, 2025 via Out of Line Music.
Today, Dulce Líquido sets the world ablaze with the punishing new single “La Infamia De Los Falsos.” Grinding, venomous, and unflinchingly raw, it offers a deadly final preview of the chaos to come.
The Final Warning Shot ⚡🧪
“La Infamia De Los Falsos” embodies everything that defines Dulce Líquido: corrosive rhythms, mechanical terror, and an atmosphere dense enough to crush lungs. It is rhythmic torture at its purest—Aggranoise, industrial, minimal, and catastrophic.
Mind Domination is built to level dancefloors and destroy neural pathways. Fueled by pounding beats, twisted synths, and Racso’s signature dystopian vision, this album is a brutal continuation of the sound that turned Dulce Líquido into one of the most influential forces in dark industrial music.
Racso describes it best:
“When atoms and beats are combined, Dulce Líquido is ready to annihilate the dancefloors. The record will keep your mind and body dancing until you die on the dancefloor.”
Minimal. Violent. Hypnotic. This is industrial distortion at full force—a ritual of noise, panic, hate, and absolute catharsis.
For true disciples of the project, Mind Domination also arrives in a strictly limited Archives Of Domination edition—containing three additional CDs of unreleased material rescued from Racso’s personal vault.
Digitized from old tapes, MiniDiscs, and CDs, this archive reveals the hidden DNA of Dulce Líquido’s earliest eras.
Racso explains:
“I’ve been preserving this material for years. Some of it I rescued from old recordings—it’s pure gold from the past. These emotions can never be replaced, and I’m proud to finally share them.”
Live: Hocico at Out Of Line’s 30th Anniversary 🎛️🖤
Racso returns to the stage for a massive celebration as Hocico performs at Out Of Line’s 30th Anniversary in Berlin on December 19th, the same day Mind Domination drops.
Founded in 1993 by Racso Agroyam, Dulce Líquido is an uncompromising vision of industrial extremity—an outlet for isolation, rage, and psychic disintegration. The project rejects boundaries, creating twisted, violent soundscapes where imagination bleeds into reality.
It is the beast beneath the skin. The panic behind the pulse. A world of dance rhythms, harsh electronics, and grotesque atmospheres—always seeking the next boundary to destroy.
The Danish synth automatons return with a chilling new chapter—one where even robots are afraid of the dark.
Nightmare Arrives Friday — And It Bites Hard 🩸
The new digital single “Nightmare” drops Friday, November 14th, 2024, across all major streaming platforms — and in pristine lossless format through ManMindMachine’s Bandcamp, complete with an exclusive bonus track, “Monsters.”
The Track: Synthetic Fear Wrapped in EBM ⚙️💀
“Nightmare” is an energetic, melodic EBM burner—wired with pulsing basslines, crisp machine grooves, and a sinister layer of horror-infused atmosphere. It’s the kind of track that compels the body to move while the mind slips into a darker dimension.
Over on Bandcamp, listeners also get “Monsters,” an exclusive b-side that slides into a slower, more haunting realm. Downbeat. Paranoid. Velvet darkness. A very different emotional vector, but unmistakably ManMindMachine.
When Robots Face the Dark: The Nightmare Lore 🤖👁️
The last time we encountered ManMindMachine, their robotic consciousness had evolved—dreaming not of electric sheep, but of possibilities beyond human constraint.
But around Halloween / Samhain / Allerheiligen, when the veil between realms grows thin… something changed.
The robots began to dream of nightmares. They saw monsters in their sleep. And they couldn’t understand why.
Unaccustomed to fear, their digital minds split: What is a dream? What is reality? What stalks them from inside their own code?
Now they invite you into their terror loop. Are you ready for the nightmare?
Who Are ManMindMachine? ⚡
A Danish Synth/EBM collective, ManMindMachine are driven by a devotion to alternative electronic music—but with a mission to reinterpret genres in fresh and unexpected ways. Their sound fuses classic EBM pulses with futuristic textures and philosophical machine-mythology.
About Tinnitorturous Records 🩸🖤

Jens B. Petersen (ManMindMachine, Negant, more)

The long-dormant U.S. electro-industrial powerhouse Flesh Field has returned once again, unleashing a fully remastered edition of their 2001 classic Belief Control. Released via Metropolis Records on October 31, 2025, this updated version breathes new life into one of the genre’s most influential releases.
🔥 Includes the singles:
Allegiance 2025
The Truth Within
⚙️ A Legacy of Power and Precision
Originally founded in 1996 by Ian Ross in Columbus, Ohio, Flesh Field quickly carved their identity with a fusion of intricate programming, dark symphonic textures, and emotional ferocity. Their debut, Viral Extinction (1999), announced their arrival in the underground, while 2001’s Belief Control took their sound to a new level — merging bombastic orchestration with machine-driven aggression.
The album’s success led to a partnership with Metropolis Records, which handled U.S. distribution for their next full-length, Strain. The record’s expanded instrumentation—featuring layered guitars, choral elements, and thunderous percussion—cemented Flesh Field’s place among industrial music’s elite.
🧠 Silence, Then Rebirth
After nearly two decades of inactivity, Ross reignited Flesh Field with the politically charged 2023 concept album Voice Of The Echo Chamber, followed by the Voice Of Reason EP in 2024. Both releases marked a creative resurgence and paved the way for a comprehensive remaster campaign through Metropolis.
The Belief Control (2025 Edition) follows the June reissue of Viral Extinction, with the full Flesh Field discography set for remastered release in the coming months. Even more thrilling—Ross has confirmed that a brand-new Flesh Field album is nearing completion.
Electro-industrial duo KLACK has surprised fans with a brand-new live release, In Case You Didn’t Feel Like Staying Up (Live), captured during their electrifying performance at the Cold Waves XIII afterparty last Saturday.

The duo recorded the performance in full and decided to release it for fans—whether you were there moshing in the crowd or tuning in from afar, now you can relive the moment.

US drummer, multi-instrumentalist, and electronic alchemist Rona Rougeheart returns with her project SINE, unveiling the brand-new single “Succumb To Me” via Metropolis Records on September 26, 2025.
🎶 Industrial Meets Dirty Disco
Co-produced alongside Curse Mackey (Pigface) and mastered by Mark Pistel (Consolidated, Meat Beat Manifesto), “Succumb To Me” blends industrial grit, dirty disco grooves, and seismic sub-bass into what Rougeheart defines as her signature style: electronic boom.
Rougeheart explains: “While working on my next album, I decided to start something fresh just for fun. I anchored the track around two deep synth bass hits that pan left and right for a surround sound feel—especially in headphones. The lyrics practically wrote themselves, cheeky and a little sinister, with a dash of sex appeal. It’s one of my favorite SINE tracks to date.”
🌑 Momentum Rising
SINE officially joined the Metropolis Records roster in 2024 with the single “Trauma Bondage.” Since then, Rougeheart has been steadily building momentum—touring North America with Void Palace and Clan of Xymox, and recently performing at Cold Waves XIII in her hometown of Austin on September 19, 2025. Work is already underway on a full-length album expected in 2026.

The US electro-industrial act Flesh Field, led by founder Ian Ross, has just released a new single, “Allegiance.” This 2025 remastered version of the song is a taste of the forthcoming reissue of the group’s second album, Belief Control, which is set for release on October 31, 2025, via Metropolis Records.
This remastered version of “Allegiance” continues the momentum of Flesh Field’s resurrection. The group returned to the scene in 2023 with the new album Voice Of The Echo Chamber, followed by the Voice Of Reason EP in early 2024. In June 2025, they reissued a remastered version of their 1999 debut, Viral Extinction, as part of Metropolis Records’ plan to re-release the entire back catalog.
Originally released in 2001, Belief Control solidified Flesh Field’s status in the electro-industrial scene with its bombastic symphonic elements and intricate programming. After a hiatus that lasted nearly two decades, the band’s music remained relevant, appearing in TV shows like True Blood and video games like Project Gotham Racing.
US electro-industrial/synth-pop artist Tom Shear, known as Assemblage 23, has just released his new single, “Tolerate.” The track, out today via Metropolis Records, is the first single from his highly anticipated tenth studio album, NULL. The new album is set to release on November 7, 2025.
The song delves into a deeply topical subject. According to Shear, “Tolerate” is about “the increasingly common situation of having to cut people out of your life because they hold harmful beliefs.” The track is a powerful reflection on the current political climate and its personal fallout, continuing Shear’s tradition of exploring complex and relatable lyrical themes.
Known for his role in establishing the “Future Pop” movement, Shear has built a significant worldwide following. To promote the new album, Assemblage 23 will embark on a UK tour in October, immediately followed by a show in Germany.

Available today via Cleopatra Records, this is the latest installment in Larsen’s ongoing series of tribute albums. Re:Mission Entertainment has officially opened pre-orders for Death Kiss, the highly anticipated new album from dark electronic artist Maduro. The full album is scheduled for release on October 17, 2025.
Death Kiss follows the artist’s earlier EP, Worse for the Wear, and marks a significant evolution in Maduro’s sound. The album is a 10-track journey that merges the raw energy of classic EBM with contemporary production. It delves into themes of love, loss, and inner conflict.
The release of Death Kiss has been preceded by three singles. “Black Lipstick” set the stage with its distinct synth-driven sound, followed by “Start A War,” which brought a new level of rhythmic intensity. The most recent single, “You Are Empty,” further expanded the album’s sonic palette with its haunting melodies.
Fans who pre-order the album will receive an instant download of all three singles.
About Maduro
Known for their unique blend of pulsing rhythms and atmospheric textures, Maduro has carved out a distinct space in the electronic music scene. Their music is both a homage to the pioneers of EBM and a bold step into new sonic territory.
Brace yourself for a full-frontal sonic assault as FRONTAL BOUNDARY unleash “Hate”, the explosive new EP that marks the band’s first strike from their upcoming full-length album “Failure” – and also celebrates their signing to leading electro-industrial label Alfa Matrix, home to genre-defining acts like FRONT 242, UNTER NULL, POUPPEE FABRIKK, ALIEN VAMPIRES or yet KOMOR KOMMANDO.
With “Hate”, FRONTAL BOUNDARY channels raw aggression and emotional turmoil into a blistering EBM/industrial anthem. “This track voices the fury felt toward those who constantly try to keep you down”, explains vocalist Krz Souls. Brendin Ross (ex-BILE, ex-INVA//ID, Dawn of Ashes, and Bornless Fire), the band’s founding member and instrumental powerhouse behind FRONTAL BOUNDARY is indeed joined by Krz Souls (ex-INVA//ID, Dawn of Ashes, Bornless Fire) on vocals and Jaysen Craves (Livernois) on synths.
Melding fire and ice, chaos and control, FRONTAL BOUNDARY’s signature sound fuses dense industrial rhythms, driving EBM beats, dark melodic leads, and infectious synthpop textures – topped with harsh, emotional vocals that sometimes veer into future pop territory. Fans of SUICIDE COMMANDO, C-LEKKTOR, COMBICHRIST, LEAETHER STRIP and ROTERSAND will feel right at home.
The “Hate” EP also includes club-destroying remixes by American industrial force FACT PATTERN and cult Alfa Matrix label-mate UNTER NULL, adding new layers of intensity to an already volatile release.
“Hate” is not just a song – it’s a statement. Welcome to FRONTAL BOUNDARY. Resistance is futile.
After smashing expectations with her previous single and reigniting the fire of UNTER NULL, Erica Dunham returns with a vengeance. Her new EP, “You Made A Monster,” is a brutal, no-holds-barred confrontation with trauma, betrayal, and the silent complicity that empowers abusers.
Fueled by raw emotion and cutting honesty, the title track is a devastating dark elektro anthem built from real-life scars. It drags narcissistic abuse and its enablers into the harsh light, pulling no punches: “You knew what he did / You knew of his lies / You gave up your morals for your motherfucking pride.” This is not a song of defeat – it’s a battle cry. A reclaiming of power. A voice for the erased.
“I wrote this because I was tired of being erased”, says Erica. “It’s for anyone who has screamed the truth into a void while everyone else nodded along with the abuser”.
Also featured is the haunting yet defiant “Coming Up To Breathe”, reimagined as well in three powerful remixes: C-LEKKTOR brings his signature dark pulse, LEAETHER STRIP injects classic EBM fire with a melodic touch, and rising force FRONTAL BOUNDARY adds a fierce modern twist.
“You Made A Monster” is not just an EP. It’s a statement. It’s UNTER NULL – louder, stronger, and more intentional than ever. Play it loud. Feel every word. And never be silent again.
The electro-industrial classic returns June 27th via Metropolis Records
Flesh Field resurrects its monumental debut, Viral Extinction, now fully remastered and available once again to ignite speakers and summon shadows. Originally released in 1999, the album fused cinematic electronics, fierce guitar work, militant percussion, and choral samples into a signature sound that pushed the boundaries of industrial music.
📅 Viral Extinction returns on June 27th, 2025, via Metropolis Records and includes the haunting new single:
🎧 “Where Angels Go to Die” — a darkly angelic descent into spiritual decay, described by Ian Ross as “apocalyptic in language, but musically designed to feel beautifully bleak.”
Formed by Ian Ross in Columbus, Ohio in 1996, Flesh Field erupted onto the scene with an aggressive yet orchestrally grand vision of electro-industrial. Their debut, Viral Extinction, quickly earned attention for its layered textures and dramatic sonic architecture—setting a benchmark for dark electronic music at the turn of the millennium.
After releasing the Redemption remix EP in 2000 and the critically lauded albums Belief Control (2001) and Strain (2004), the project went silent. Despite that, Flesh Field’s music endured—appearing in the soundtracks of True Blood, The Mill, and Project Gotham Racing.
Ross eventually reemerged in 2023 with the concept album Voice of the Echo Chamber, examining the psychology of political radicalization. A companion EP, Voice of Reason, followed in 2024.
Now, 25 years after its initial release, Viral Extinction is reborn—remastered and once again relevant in a world teetering on its own digital precipice.
The cyber apocalypse starts now as Tim Skold launches his first shot from the upcoming album Caught In The Throes.
💥 AI, Identity, and the Death of Humanity
Today, June 27, SKOLD has unveiled “All Humans Must Be Destroyed”, the first single from his forthcoming full-length album, Caught In The Throes. This aggressive new track doesn’t hold back—blending mechanized industrial rhythms with lyrical themes of artificial intelligence, dehumanization, and a cold suspicion that some people might already be… machines.
SKOLD’s icy snarl cuts through the noise, asking uncomfortable questions about reality and the very nature of what it means to be human.
🎛 A Legacy Forged in Chaos and Machines
The solo project of Tim Skold, the Swedish multi-instrumentalist, producer, and sonic chameleon, SKOLD has spent decades crafting metallic soundscapes and dystopian anthems.
He first emerged from the ‘80s glam wreckage with Shotgun Messiah, before launching his solo career in 1996 with the RCA release Skold—featuring cult hits like “Chaos” and “Hail Mary.” His resume reads like a roadmap through industrial history:
Klayton of Circle of Dust is back, and he’s stitched together a track that defies convention. “Neophyte” began with a long-forgotten riff—haunting his hard drive for over a decade. Described as having a Trouble / Black Sabbath vibe, the riff carried its own melody and lyrics that Klayton refused to let go.
Though the section bears little resemblance to the rest of the track musically, it makes perfect sense in the mad scientist mind of its creator. “I’ve always enjoyed crafting musical journeys that feel like actual journeys,” Klayton explains. “Consistency be damned—my natural instinct is to mash disparate styles into one cohesive, chaotic whole.”
This is more than a song. It’s a genre-bending odyssey, lovingly described by Klayton as a “tiny song-home” kicked into the world for others to inhabit—even just for a moment.
🗣 “I truly appreciate any of you that have willingly decided to live in one of my musical homes, neophyte or seasoned veteran alike.” – Klayton
🎧 Listen to “Neophyte” and enter the house that chaos built.

💥 Two decades after its original release and long believed lost to time, Daniel Graves has resurrected his debut album under a new name and form—Closer to Human is available now via Bandcamp, with pre-orders for ultra-limited physical editions going fast.

About FLESH FIELD:
Flesh Field was founded in Ohio in the mid-90s by composer Ian Ross. Renowned for its widescreen cinematic sound achieved by blending synths, percussion, guitar, and sampled choir, the group’s music soon earned plaudits for its aggressive approach and subsequently featured in a number of film/TV soundtracks and video games. Having retired the name in 2011, Ross eventually relocated to Virginia, where he resurrected Flesh Field to issue an album entitled ‘Voice of the Echo Chamber’ in late 2023 and the companion piece ‘Voice Of Reason’ EP in April 2024.
Their debut album, ‘Viral Extinction’, was released three years later, earning glowing reviews for its brutal and aggressive sound, while some of its songs were subsequently remixed by several contemporaries (including scene leaders Covenant) and issued together with some new songs on the album-length ‘Redemption’ EP in 2000.
Highlighting the band’s compositional skills with bombastic symphonic elements and intricate synth and percussion programming, 2001’s ‘Belief Control’ solidified Flesh Field’s status as a band to be reckoned with. It also led to the group signing to Metropolis Records for the US release of their third album, ‘Strain’. With new layers of acoustic and electronic percussion, guitar, and choral effects added into the mix, these elements resulted in an an epic and anthemic feel to a record that was acclaimed by fans and critics alike.
Then, silence. For almost two decades, Flesh Field lay dormant, even as numerous tracks from their catalog were placed in the soundtracks of films including ‘The Mill’, TV shows such as ‘True Blood’, and video games like ‘Project Gotham Racing’. ‘Voice Of The Echo Chamber’ suddenly appeared in 2023; a concept work with each of its ten tracks representing stages of political radicalization and violence, it was followed by an album length companion piece EP entitled ‘Voice Of Reason’.
Mexico’s electro-industrial juggernauts HOCICO once again plunge into the dystopian psyche of the digital era. Erk Aicrag and Racso Agroyam return with a visceral, unrelenting track that strips away the glossy veneer of online life and exposes the rot festering beneath.
If The Screen was a direct attack on the anonymity of internet cruelty, “Brainrot” dives even deeper, capturing the suffocating grip of algorithmic addiction. It’s a grotesque ballet of dopamine, dependency, and despair, screamed through Erk’s searing vocals and wrapped in Racso’s hellish production.
Musically, “Brainrot” marks a bold evolution in Hocico’s sound. Infused with aggressive drum and bass influences, it hits with a hyperkinetic energy that feels both chaotic and meticulously controlled. The track seamlessly fuses this rhythmic onslaught with the duo’s signature industrial brutality and aggrotech venom, creating a sound that feels both fresh and devastatingly familiar. This is not a trend-following experiment—it’s a fully weaponized Hocico beatdown, sharpened for the digital battlefield.
From the very first line, “Plug me in, I’m a slave to the screen,” the listener is dragged into a world where identity, free will, and humanity are systematically dismantled by our tech overlords. The lyrics are a cyberpunk confession: raw, paranoid, and disturbingly accurate. Lines like “I dance for the likes, I bleed for the views” hit like gut punches, capturing the performance anxiety and manufactured existence many experience but few dare to articulate.
The chorus, an unrelenting chant of “Brainrot!”, becomes a war cry and a diagnosis all at once. Each repetition digs deeper into the madness, like a virus rewriting the code of the self. The distorted synths and glitchy textures reflect the chaos of a mind being rewired for engagement, not meaning.
Hocico doesn’t just critique digital culture—they drag its corpse onto the stage, expose its entrails, and make you dance with it. The track’s final verse, “Now I’m the king of nothing but brainrot!”, isn’t just a lyric, it’s a warning: the more we feed the machine, the more it devours us.
With “Brainrot,” Hocico once again proves they are not just musicians but prophets of a dying age, screaming from the edge of digital oblivion. This isn’t just music, it’s a mirror. And you won’t like what you see.
Belgian electro-industrial pioneer Suicide Commando is set to unleash their powerful new EP, “Final Stage,” on July 18, 2025, via Out Of Line Music. Available on limited edition CD and transparent red vinyl, this release is a raw, stripped-down, and uncompromising return to the project’s roots, embodying a ferocious essence.
“Back to the essence, back to the core! No compromises, no frills, no stupid fashion show…” states Johan Van Roy, emphasizing the EP’s focused intensity.
A Modern Reinterpretation of a Classic
This six-track EP isn’t just a trip down memory lane; it’s a complete transformation. “Final Stage” features five radically reimagined versions of tracks from Suicide Commando’s influential 1994 debut album, Critical Stage. These aren’t mere remixes, but full-scale modern reinterpretations designed to showcase how Critical Stage would sound if crafted with today’s cutting-edge production, all while retaining its classic aggression.
The EP also includes “De weg,” a significant milestone as the first Suicide Commando song ever performed in Johan Van Roy’s native Dutch. Fans won’t have to wait long for a taste of this new material, as “De weg” will be released as the first single on June 5, 2025.
