BEYOND THE BLACK Teams Up with LORD OF THE LOST on New Single, Announces Upcoming Album, Releases Music Video

Symphonic metal sensation BEYOND THE BLACK is excited to share the third single from their eagerly awaited upcoming studio album, Break The Silence, which is set to be released on January 9, 2026, via Nuclear Blast Records.

The emotional anthem ‘The Art Of Being Alone’ features none other than Chris Harms of acclaimed German metal band Lord Of The Lost on guest vocals. The song deals with important contemporary issues such as mental health, self-empowerment, and positive life perception. A compelling video has also been released alongside the single, illustrating the feeling of being alone and cornered while ultimately showing a path to self-awareness and a way out of this mental prison.

Singer Jennifer Haben commented, “‘The Art Of Being Alone’ is one of the most emotional songs for us since it‘s born from personal battles and quiet reflections. We wanted it to be fragile and powerful at the same time and we believe many of you will find your own story between its lines. Having Chris Harms join us with his uniquely intense voice and personality felt absolutely perfect and brought a depth to this track that made it even more special.”

Chris Harms (Lord Of The Lost) added, “This duet was long overdue! For more than 10 years now, LORD OF THE LOST and BEYOND THE BLACK have been crossing paths — we like and appreciate each other and it was kind of obvious that Jenny’s and my voices would work great together. Now we’ve finally made it happen and created this powerful, goosebump-inducing song together! I’m really happy about it!”

BEYOND THE BLACK’s sixth full-length album, Break The Silence, is a concept album rooted in melodic metal with ethno influences. It explores themes of communication, inner strength, resilience, and the urgent need to reconnect in a divided world. Tracks like ‘Let There Be Rain’, ‘(La Vie Est Un) Cinéma’, ‘Ravens’, and ‘The Flood’ examine how words – and their absence – shape our reality. About BEYOND THE BLACK

Since their formation, German symphonic metal band BEYOND THE BLACK have become one of the most exciting forces in modern symphonic metal. Their debut album in 2015, Songs Of Love And Death, was an instant success, earning the Metal Hammer Award for “Best Debut.” They have since played the world’s biggest metal festivals, including Wacken Open Air, and supported international acts like Aerosmith, Korn, and the Scorpions. Following their self-titled fifth album in 2023, which charted in several countries, they embarked on their most successful European headline tour to date in early 2024. The band reached another milestone in early 2025 with their first-ever Latin America tour, and will take the stage at prestigious European festivals again this summer before launching their next European headline tour, Rising High, in early 2026.

Beyond The Black Unveils Intimate ‘Wide Awake’ Piano Version

After the triumphant release of their self-titled album “Beyond The Black” in January 2023, the band unveils a fresh piano rendition of the song ‘Wide Awake.’ This version sets the perfect tone for the approaching pre-Christmas season, capturing the essence of the original creation process with its pure, almost naked delivery. Jennifer Haben, the vocalist, expresses the song’s personal significance, emphasizing its roots in piano and vocals.

As anticipation builds for their eagerly awaited “Dancing In The Dark” tour starting in April 2024, the band has shared all the tour dates. The tour kicks off in Munich, Germany, on April 5th, and includes stops in various European cities, promising an electrifying experience for fans.

Commenting on the X-Mas shows, the band expresses their excitement for turning what was once a Bay Area Thrash Metal tradition into a global phenomenon. Both nights of the 8th Annual “Another Death Angel Christmas” shows at The Great American Music Hall in San Francisco on December 21st and 22nd will be streamed live worldwide. The shows feature special guests Forbidden, along with openers Frolic and Tornadic. Virtual merchandise booths with exclusive Death Angel items will be available, and the shows will be accessible for continuous viewing through December 30th.
