DIMMU BORGIR Unveils Cover Album “Inspiratio Profanus”

“SOILWORK Unearths Festive Surprise with Digital Release of Swedish Gem ‘Kvicksilver’ and Announces European Tour for Autumn 2024”

It’s starting to feel a lot like fuck this:
While many of us are dusting off old photos and sentimental items, Swedish melodic death metal virtuosos SOILWORK have unearthed a different kind of trip down memory lane.
Today, the band digitally releases ‘Kvicksilver’, a Swedish version of ‘Mercury Shadow’, originally released in 2002 on SOILWORK’s fourth album, Natural Born Chaos.

SOILWORK states: “Here’s an old gem from the vaults! ‘Kvicksilver’ means ‘mercury’ in Swedish, and somehow we decided to make a Swedish version of one of our songs during the recording of the Natural Born Chaos album, back in 2002. We think it turned out pretty damn cool and definitely deserves to be shared with the world at this point. Enjoy ‘Mercury Shadow’ – all sung in Scanian dialect, we give you ‘Kvicksilver’!”

SOILWORK has just announced new European tour dates with IN FLAMES and ARCH ENEMY for autumn 2024. Under the banner of the Rising From The North Tour, the band will tour thirteen countries, starting in the United Kingdom on October 3rd.

SOILWORK’s high-class creative consistency, which they have maintained throughout their career, is the virtue that probably best defines them. Metal Blade Museum to Open Its Doors to Fans on Saturday, August 19!

Metal Blade Records Museum, located in Las Vegas, NV, is ready to welcome fans once again. Brian Slagel is opening up the museum doors on Saturday, August 19, and it will be accessible every Saturday from thereon.

On the opening day, Saturday, August 19, Lizzy Borden himself will be present to take a stroll through the museum.

The operating hours are from 12 pm to 5 pm PT, and tickets are available [here](link to tickets).

Ticket holders will receive the museum address after purchase.

TILL THE DIRT Unleashes Devastating New Single “Starring Role” and Announces Debut Album “Outside The Spiral”


Following their explosive debut last month, the extreme metal band TILL THE DIRT returns with their fierce follow-up single “Starring Role.” This cataclysmic track is featured on their highly anticipated debut album, “Outside The Spiral,” produced by the renowned Scott Burns and set to release on August 25th via Nuclear Blast Records.

Kelly Shaefer, the influential death metal legend, ATHEIST vocalist, and mastermind behind TILL THE DIRT, shares his thoughts on the new song:

“‘Starring Role’ takes the lead as the opening track of the album. It ranks among my favorites on the record and is also a favorite of producer Scott Burns. It’s a straight-up ripper! The song embodies all the unique hybrid qualities of this entire album. Lyrically, it delves into the oddness of dreams and the roles we sometimes fail to comprehend as we wake from them. This is the perfect banger to blast at full volume while driving at high speeds!”

Recently signed to Nuclear Blast, Shaefer and his crew made an unforgettable impression with their lead single and title track “Outside The Spiral,” featuring TESTAMENT bassist Steve Di Giorgio.

German Thrash’n’Rollers SPLICER Unleash Thrilling “Blind” Video

Formed in 2015 as a three-piece band, Splicer wasted no time in crafting their unique mark on the music scene, giving birth to the electrifying sound known as “Rock’n’Proll.” After honing their craft through numerous local live shows and intense songwriting sessions, the band released the 4-track EP “Beerwolf” in 2018, solidifying their presence in the underground music scene.

In 2019, they continued to captivate audiences with the release of the 3-track EP “Blind” both online and as part of a CD split with Call It A Wasteland, presenting a total of 6 tracks of raw energy.

In 2021, Splicer’s musical journey reached a new milestone with the release of their 13-track debut album “Bootlegger,” showcasing their relentless passion and determination.

Fast forward to 2023, and Splicer is stronger than ever with founding members Daniel on drums and Rick on bass/vocals, alongside Chris on guitars. German death/thrashers DEAF AID have emerged from the pandemic with their powerful third record, “Hellgate,” which delves deep into the observations of those troubled times.
