The eagerly anticipated second leg of ARMORED SAINT’s North American tour supporting W.A.S.P. has been canceled due to extensive back injuries suffered by W.A.S.P.’s Blackie Lawless during the European leg of the run. Los Angeles progressive death metal group, THE ZENITH PASSAGE, releases their second full-length studio album, “Datalysium,” via Metal Blade Records. The album features an overhauled lineup, including original guitarist/keyboardist/backing vocalist Justin McKinney, guitarist Christopher Beattie, vocalist Derek Rydquist, and bassist Brandon Giffin. “Datalysium” showcases the band’s blend of technical head-fuckery, atmosphere, melody, and shifting dynamics, capturing the listener’s undivided attention throughout.

“The Age Of The Offended” was recorded at Daufembach Studio, Villa Necro, Studio Tomb, and Studio Studio. Adair Daufembach was responsible for producing, engineering, mixing, and mastering. Kjartan Hesthagen also assisted with the engineering, working in tandem with the band and Adair. The band enlisted Fleshflies to create the artwork for “The Age Of The Offended.”
Formed in 2015, SPLICER started as a three-piece band and quickly developed their distinct singing style, giving birth to their unique genre known as “Rock’n’Proll”. After honing their skills through numerous local live shows and songwriting sessions, they recorded the 4-track EP “Beerwolf” in 2017, which gained positive reception upon its release in 2018.
In 2019, they followed up with the online release of the 3-track EP “Blind” and a CD version titled “SPLIT”, featuring a total of six tracks, including collaborations with Call It A Wasteland. Building on their growing success, SPLICER unleashed their highly anticipated debut album, “Bootlegger”, in 2021, featuring 13 tracks showcasing their signature thrash’n’roll sound.
Presently, SPLICER consists of the founding members Daniel on drums and Rick on bass/vocals, joined by Chris on guitars. To reignite the spirit of Rock’n’Proll, the band has recently unveiled the music video for their latest single, “Blind”, which can be watched here.
Currently, the band is diligently working on their sophomore album, scheduled for release in late 2023. Fans can expect more high-energy thrash’n’roll anthems to come.
The band, hailing from Bydgoszcz, Poland, was formed in 2009 by Bartek Wojciechowski (vocals), Mariusz Lemański (guitar), and Łukasz Reksa (guitar). Their music is a fusion of melodic progressive rock and modern heavy metal.
In 2016, the first album “The Valkyries” was released, receiving high praise from critics. Promoting the material from their debut album, FACTOR 8 had the opportunity to share the stage with renowned artists such as Kat and Roman Kostrzewski, Turbo, Non Iron, Ira, Kaliber 44, Organek, Mrozu, Cugowscy, and others.
Currently, the band is in the process of creating material for their next album while performing live with the following lineup: Bartek Wojciechowski (vocals), Mariusz Lemański (guitar), Piotr Lestath Leszczyński (drums), Kamil Robaczewski (bass guitar), and Piotr Łotocki (guitar).

Dååth’s just released their latest digital single, a cover of Morbid Angel’s classic Where the Slime Live featuring a guest guitar solo performance by Dave Davidson of Revocation. The track was mixed and mastered by Dave Otero with artwork by Ryan Wolanski.
Guitarist Eyal Levi had this to say about the cover: “It’s funny to say this because ‘Where The Slime Live’ is a total classic, but I’ve been feeling like people have not been giving Trey and co their due for the massive impact they’ve had on the evolution of metal. Not that our version of this song is going to change the world, but if any Morbid Angel song deserves the modern treatment, it’s this one. Everything about it more than holds up and showcasing it in this fashion really illuminates how ahead of their time they were. I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed learning and interpreting this BANGER of a song!”
Dave Davidson added: “‘Where The Slime Live’ is one of my favorite Morbid tunes so I was stoked to be asked to lay down a solo for this killer cover. Trey has a very unique style so it was a cool challenge to tap into his vibe and let the lava flow so to speak. Hope y’all dig it!”

About the band: Dååth is an American progressive death metal band based in Atlanta, Georgia. The band began their journey in 1999 and stayed busy for just over a decade before taking a hiatus in 2011. In that time, Dååth released 4 studio albums (Futility – self-released 2004, The Hinderers – Roadrunner Records 2007, The Concealers – Century Media 2009, Dååth – Century Media 2010) and toured throughout the world with bands like Dark Funeral, Naglfar, Zyklon, Dragonforce, Goatwhore, Chimaira, Throwdown, Dying Fetus, and Devildriver, making a lasting impression with the metal community and its many subgenres. Dååth is now back with an updated lineup and stronger than ever, which can be heard in the group’s new single “No Rest No End” that saw digital release by Metal Blade Records on February 22, 2023. Dååth followed up the release of “No Rest No End” with a cover of Death’s “The Philosopher” that features Dan Sugarman of Ice Nine Kills and Rafael Trujillo, released digitally on April 24, 2023.
The last single released by Dååth (May 30) was “Purified By Vengeance” and features both Mark Holcomb of Periphery and composer and sound designer Mick Gordon. The track was mixed by Jens Bogren, with Andrew Wade as vocal producer, and John Douglass handling engineering duties.

ABOUT INGESTED: Ingested are the flagbearers of modern UK death metal. They have been churning out bilious anti-anthems for more than a decade-and-a-half, dropping a string of releases that have helped shape the genre. They return with Ashes Lie Still, their most dynamic, inventive, and daring release to date, holding nothing back. The band describes it as “a modern essential. It still has the core Ingested elements of groovy slamming riffs, quick drumming, and guttural vocals but there’s also atmosphere, ethereal moments, and some raw old school aggression.” Over the course of 10 tracks, Ingested hack, slash, and steamroll through everything in their path, and Ashes Lie Still easily stands as the highpoint of an already impressive career. Founded in 2006 in Manchester, England, Ingested have since toured extensively with Cannibal Corpse, The Black Dahlia Murder, Nile, Carnifex, and Revocation, and have been seen on European festival stages including Summer Breeze Open Air. Slimmed down to a three-piece, the band feels it is in the best place it ever has been, enabling the members to work at the top of their game.
Ashes Lie Still was mixed and mastered by Christian Donaldson. It was co-produced by the band and previous collaborator Nico Beninato, with drummer Lyn Jeffs living close to Beninato’s studio in Mallorca and recording his drums there, while Sean Hynes recorded his guitars at home in the UK with the producer assisting remotely. Vocal tracking was interrupted by Jason Evans falling seriously ill when finally making it to Mallorca and was ultimately tracked back in Manchester. Bass was again supplied by Dominic Grimard (Ion Dissonance/The Last Felony).
Ingested succinctly encapsulate their existence, saying, “We’ve always been the underdogs, always fighting for scraps. Well, it’s time to get out of the fucking way, because now it’s our turn to eat at the table.”
