Isidor Shifts Into Overdrive with New Single “Turbo Fighter”

The Serbian “Lord of Synth” fires up another neon-charged transmission as “Turbo Fighter” arrives through NewRetroWave—and a new album is already on the horizon.

The Lord of Synth Is Back

Isidor has returned with “Turbo Fighter,” a new release through NewRetroWave that pushes the Serbian producer deeper into the high-powered retro-futuristic territory that has become his signature.

For listeners already familiar with Isidor’s universe, the formula is unmistakable: pulsating electronic rhythms, towering synthesizers, cinematic atmosphere, and the feeling that somewhere between the speakers and your imagination, a neon-lit machine just roared to life.

NewRetroWave’s announcement keeps things beautifully direct: Isidor is back with another banger—and a new album is on the way. That second piece of information makes “Turbo Fighter” more than an isolated transmission. It becomes an early signal of whatever Isidor is preparing next.

Built for a Cyberpunk Future

Based in Novi Sad, Serbia, Isidor Bobinec has spent the better part of a decade constructing a distinctive corner of the synthwave landscape. His background includes classical music and trumpet performance before he moved into electronic production, eventually earning the fan-given title “Lord of Synth.”

His catalog stretches back to 2016’s Dark Night Genesis and includes releases such as 3218, Lord of Synth, Avalon Quest, Red Gem, and Stellarix. NewRetroWave has been an important part of that history; Avalon Quest, for example, was released through NewRetroWave Records in 2019.

Across those releases, Isidor has developed a sound built around detailed electronic production and futuristic world-building rather than simple ’80s nostalgia. Cyberpunk imagery, aggressive basslines, expansive synth arrangements and cinematic storytelling turn his music into something closer to a soundtrack for a universe that doesn’t exist yet.

“Turbo Fighter” continues that trajectory while its title practically begs for speed: arcade cabinets, glowing dashboards, impossible highways and machines pushed well past the redline.

More importantly, confirmation that a new Isidor album is coming gives the single additional weight. Details surrounding that forthcoming record remain limited, making “Turbo Fighter” the first glimpse into a larger chapter still waiting to reveal itself.

🎶 Listen Now

Isidor has never sounded particularly interested in standing still. With “Turbo Fighter” now entering the NewRetroWave universe and another album approaching, the Lord of Synth appears ready to hit the accelerator again.
