Oxford-based nu-metal band Arimea has unveiled the official music video for their latest single, Orchid Street, the title track from their debut EP, which is now available.

Drummer Richard Stedman reflects on the track’s personal significance:
“‘Orchid Street’ feels like coming home. Musically, it’s a place I’ve sought for years, navigating countless genres and styles without losing our unique voice. For me, it encapsulates my childhood memories but reshaped for the real world—authentic, emotionally raw, and confident in its identity.”

A Fresh Take on Nu-Metal
The Orchid Street EP showcases Arimea’s refreshingly raw nu-metal style—a nostalgic yet innovative record. Bassist Joe Landles describes the band’s creative evolution:
“Sharing something that feels authentically us is incredibly powerful. With previous releases, we played it safe, sticking to conventions. But this EP breaks boundaries, showing we’re unafraid to take risks. We want listeners to instantly recognize Arimea when they hear us, not just blend into the alternative or metal scene.”

Blending elements from the early 2000s nu-metal greats like Flyleaf, P.O.D., Deftones, and Mudvayne, Arimea injects their sound with modern alt-metal dynamics, progressive touches, and even hints of hardcore and hip-hop. Drawing inspiration from bands like Limp Bizkit, Slipknot, and Linkin Park, Arimea’s Orchid Street EP delivers a sound that’s equal parts nostalgic and groundbreaking.

Formed in the aftermath of the pandemic, Arimea worked with acclaimed producer MACHINE, whose portfolio includes heavyweights like Suicide Silence, Coal Chamber, and Lamb of God, to refine their distinctive sound.
