Unhappily Ever Now Releases New Single Addressing Loss & Trauma
Industrial Rock band Unhappily Ever Now, from Phoenixville, PA, USA has recently unveiled their latest single, “Pleading (The Haunting of Scars),” This marks their first release since their self-titled debut EP in 2021. The song delves into the self-doubt that arises from personal growth following significant loss and trauma, presenting a dark, gritty, melodic, and emotional experience that sets it apart.
With influences from renowned acts like Stabbing Westward, TOOL, A Perfect Circle, and Rammstein, Unhappily Ever Now offers a fresh approach in “Pleading.” The track showcases male and female vocals, blending organic and electronic instrumentation, and delivering intense yet melodious vocal phrases.
The forthcoming remix of the single, set to be released on July 7, 2023, features a collaboration with JP Anderson of Rabbit Junk. This remix brings forth an irresistibly catchy and danceable gothwave vibe, effectively capturing the raw emotion of the original and making it ideal for club nights.

ANGELSPIT’S 11TH ALBUM, ANGELSPIT’S MOST BRUTAL ALBUM TO DATE ‘THE STAR’ (‘THE BASTARD GODS’) IS KICKSTARTING NOW.
The album, set to release in August 2023, is described as Angelspit’s most brutal to date, combining industrial, cyberpunk, and electro-industrial genres.
The Kickstarter campaign offers various formats, including digital, CD, vinyl, tape, and USB. The USB version includes sample libraries, MP3 and WAV files, and a bonus experimental noise EP. “The Star” incorporates unique elements, with melodies created from samples of scraping and bashing large springs and metal sculptures, resulting in a gritty and edgy sound. The album features war drums by Dave NATO from 4th Wall and prominently includes the Blaster Beam, a loud and aggressive instrument. The lyrics explore the impact of new technology on personal interactions, access to factual news, the widening class system, and emerging underclass.
The album’s original title, “The Bastard Gods,” was redacted to “The Star” due to algorithmic restrictions. The album delves into the increasing influence of algorithms and their effects on content censorship and manipulation, referred to as “Bastard Gods.”
Angelspit, a Cyberpunk/Industrial act with a 20-year history, has released over 25 albums and produced numerous remixes. They emphasize independent innovation and encourage artists to pursue their own creative paths.

Finnish heavy metal band Beast In Black has announced their highly anticipated Fall 2023 tour dates. The band is set to embark on a tour across North America in support of their upcoming album release.

Bellhead, a post-punk duo from Chicago, IL, USA,, will be releasing their highly anticipated EP ‘Good Intentions’ on May 5th, across all platforms.
This new release comes after the band spent most of 2022 touring to support their critically acclaimed sophomore release ‘Dead Lights’.
‘Good Intentions’ features six new songs that explore a pop sensibility while giving nods to New Order and a wink to Jesus and Mary Chain. The lead single “Valentine” evokes Depeche Mode synth lines and Placebo style bass grooves while exploring the themes of loss and hope or death and forgiveness. The EP includes other songs like “Bad Taste” and “Into the Deep”, which tackle topics like unsavory stalkers, unreliable narrators, and blood-thirsty sirens at sea. The EP’s second half includes Bellhead’s take on Love and Rockets’ hit “No Big Deal”.
Bellhead’s previous surprise single, a cover of Prince’s “I Would Die 4 U”, quickly gained popularity and earned over 6,000 plays on Spotify within 30 days of its release. The band has toured alongside international and national touring artists in 2022, and their 2023 spring dates include two shows with gothic acts Clan of Xymox and The Bellwether Syndicate. Afterward, they will co-headline nine dates with NYC’s coldwave artists The Clay People before ending the month of May as direct support for LA’s dark electronic duo Night Club in Chicago.
