SUBLIMINAL CODE has returned with Behind The Mask, a blistering new single/EP now available through DSBP Records. Released in August 2026, the four-track assault takes the Venezuelan-born dark-electronic project’s established industrial and aggrotech DNA and drags it directly into the blood-soaked atmosphere of classic slasher horror.
The concept is built around an unstoppable killer stalking from the shadows, with SUBLIMINAL CODE translating that cinematic tension into cold synthesizers, punishing beats, distorted vocals, and relentless electronic aggression. Rather than simply borrowing horror imagery for aesthetics, Behind The Mask uses the atmosphere of the slasher genre as the framework for the music itself—the electronic equivalent of hearing footsteps behind you and realizing they’re getting closer.
Four Versions, Four Ways Into the Nightmare
The release expands the original “Behind The Mask” across four interpretations, giving DJs and dark-club selectors several different weapons for the floor. Alongside the original track are a PeopleTheatre Remix, an Elektroterapi Remix, and a dedicated Club Version. The complete release runs through different shades of the same sinister concept without abandoning the aggression at its center.

SUBLIMINAL CODE was founded by brothers Raúl Junior Padrón and Raúl José Padrón in 2010, drawing from EBM, industrial, metal, synthpop, and darker electronic styles. That collision of influences has remained central to the project’s identity, from the early Soldier Of Hell material through Karma In Mortem, The Cancer Of The World Is Human Beings, and subsequent releases including Memento Mori, Your Wish, and Void Of Morgoth.
Behind The Mask pushes that history into explicitly cinematic territory.
