Rave culture has found its darker reflection as Pretty Addicted joins forces with extreme-metal vocalist Sarah Jezebel Deva for “HYSTERICAL,” released October 9, 2026. Blending industrial electronics, aggressive rave energy, drum & bass and the theatrical darkness of extreme metal, the collaboration marks another chapter in the British outfit’s evolving Blackened Rave identity. Led by vocalist, songwriter and producer Vicious Precious, alongside drummer Loki Leviathan, Pretty Addicted continues dismantling the boundaries between underground electronic culture and metal. Following “ROT” and “MOCK,” the new single introduces Deva’s commanding vocal presence into an increasingly confrontational soundscape, where the dancefloor and the mosh pit are no longer separate territories.

Reclaiming Hysteria: A Battle Cry Across Generations

Behind the sonic aggression lies a message rooted in women’s history, solidarity and resistance. “HYSTERICAL” confronts the historical misuse of hysteria as a medical diagnosis and social weapon against women who challenged authority, expressed anger or refused to conform. Rather than allowing that history to remain a symbol of oppression, Pretty Addicted transforms it into a declaration of collective strength, honoring generations of women whose voices were dismissed or silenced. Sarah Jezebel Deva, whose career is closely associated with symphonic and extreme metal, adds another dimension to Vicious Precious’s uncompromising delivery, connecting the project’s electronic rebellion with the darker traditions of metal. Following seven months of creative withdrawal, Pretty Addicted’s 2026 return represents more than a stylistic reinvention. Their Blackened Rave concept brings together the physical intensity of club culture, the ferocity of metal and an unapologetic commitment to confronting uncomfortable subjects. With “HYSTERICAL,” the message is unmistakable: the voices once condemned as dangerous are becoming impossible to ignore

“HYSTERICAL” is available now, with its official music video bringing Pretty Addicted’s latest Blackened Rave chapter to the screen. The single features Sarah Jezebel Deva and is released through the cult of the broken children.
