More than three decades after its original arrival, one of Mentallo & The Fixer’s defining records returns through Re Entertainment—expanded digitally and finally making the jump to vinyl.
An Industrial Classic Returns 💀
Re Entertainment has announced a new 2026 edition of Mentallo & The Fixer’s Where Angels Fear To Tread, bringing the influential electro-industrial album back into circulation with an expanded digital edition and its first-ever vinyl pressing.
Originally released in 1994 through Zoth Ommog, Where Angels Fear To Tread arrived during a defining period for Mentallo & The Fixer. Built around the work of brothers Gary and Dwayne Dassing, the album pushed their increasingly complex electronic machinery into darker and more atmospheric territory, combining abrasive electro-industrial programming with melancholy textures, cinematic sampling and the uncompromising experimentation that became central to the project’s identity.
From 1994 to a First-Ever Vinyl Edition ⚙️
The physical reissue gives collectors something that has been missing for more than 30 years. Where Angels Fear To Tread will receive its vinyl debut as a 2LP gatefold pressed on yellow-and-red inverted splatter vinyl, limited to only 250 copies worldwide.
The vinyl edition collects the original 13 tracks alongside two remixes for 15 tracks total. The gatefold packaging also includes full lyrics and exclusive commentary from Gary Dassing discussing the creation of the record, adding historical context directly from the artist behind it. Vinyl orders are currently estimated to ship November 20.
The digital edition goes considerably further, expanding the album to 20 tracks with seven remixes. It is currently available for pre-order through Bandcamp ahead of its October 16 release across digital platforms.
More than a simple return to the catalog, the reissue gives a landmark from Mentallo & The Fixer’s early era a new physical life while opening its archives to listeners discovering the project decades later. Re Entertainment has already been actively preserving the Dassing brothers’ catalog through previous anniversary editions and remasters, making Where Angels Fear To Tread another substantial piece of that ongoing archival work.
