Chainreactor Pushes Industrial Techno to Critical Mass with “Melting Point X1” Pre-Order

Chainreactor returns to the machinery with Melting Point X1, a new three-track release arriving August 28 through ProNoize.

The Reactor Is Heating Up

German industrial powerhouse Chainreactor is preparing to push the system back into the red with Melting Point X1, a new three-track release arriving August 28, 2026 through ProNoize.

Currently available for pre-order, Melting Point X1 finds Chainreactor returning to the raw foundations that have driven the project for years: relentless rhythms, abrasive electronic textures, mechanical precision, and enough pressure to keep darkened dancefloors moving deep into the night.

Rather than burying that foundation beneath unnecessary excess, Melting Point X1 appears focused on concentration. The machinery is exposed. The rhythms hit hard. The atmosphere remains dark, physical, and unmistakably industrial.

Back to the Machinery

Founded by Jens Minor in Düsseldorf in 2009, Chainreactor has spent more than fifteen years operating at the intersection of industrial, power noise, dark electro, and increasingly techno-driven electronic music.

That history makes the direction behind Melting Point X1 particularly fitting. Chainreactor isn’t attempting to abandon the evolution that brought the project here. Instead, the release turns back toward the essential components of the machine and puts them under pressure again.

Coming after 2025’s War Machinery, the new material continues Chainreactor’s relationship with ProNoize, a label that has played a significant role in the project’s history since the beginning.

The artwork reinforces that philosophy beautifully: an enormous mechanized figure towers over a scorched industrial landscape while a lone human silhouette stands beneath it. It’s an image of scale, pressure, machinery, and confrontation—and an appropriately brutal visual introduction to Melting Point X1.

With Melting Point X1, Chainreactor isn’t polishing away the dirt or softening the machinery. The project is feeding those elements directly back into the reactor. No unnecessary detours—just industrial electronics engineered for impact.

Melting Point X1 arrives August 28, 2026 through ProNoize and is available for pre-order now.
