MAIDENHEAD, a Massachusetts-based extreme metal force, draws potent inspiration from the thunderous realms of 80’s thrash and death metal. The seeds of the band were sown in 2013 by the visionary guitarist and primary songwriter, Zack Roberts. An arduous journey spanning nearly a decade was embarked upon, aimed at assembling the right musical talents to bring their vision to life. The culmination of this quest is their debut album, titled ‘Decapitation Of A Maiden’.

The band’s lineup has evolved through time, with significant members joining the ranks to mold the sonic identity of MAIDENHEAD. Drummer Andre Forero became an integral part in 2017, injecting a new layer of rhythm and intensity. Vocalist Amanda Scotto’s arrival in 2022, just before the recording sessions for the album, brought an entrancing vocal dimension to the band’s intense soundscapes. Guitarist Sean Hart, initially a collaborator in the producer/sound engineer role, was eventually drawn deeper into the musical fray, contributing both session guitar and bass work for the album. His involvement didn’t stop there; he cemented his position as a lead guitarist, a testament to the band’s welcoming and creative atmosphere. Bassist Alex Scofield came on board as a live musician in 2023, although not a permanent member of the ensemble.
