The German electro-industrial project returns to one of its defining forensic examinations with 27 tracks, previously unavailable material, and an entire second disc of remixes.
The Examination Begins Again
FIX8 has announced Foren6 (Surgical Precision Edition), a significantly expanded edition of the project’s 2017 album Foren6. The new edition arrives October 16, 2026, through Dependent Records, revisiting Martin Sane’s dark exploration of forensics, legal medicine, and the postmortem examination of failed human relationships.
The original Foren6 approached forensic science as an analogy for relationships after their collapse: dissecting what went wrong, determining responsibility, and examining the remains of something that once lived. FIX8 surrounded that concept with intricate synth sequences, complex percussion, distorted and experimental vocals, atmospheric electronics, heavy bass lines, and recurring samples from John Carpenter films.
27 Tracks Under the Microscope
The Surgical Precision Edition expands the original 12-track record into a massive 27-track examination. Three additional pieces—“Low Velocity Spatter,” “Force of Inertia,” and “Burn Pattern Analysis”—extend the original material before the album moves into an extensive collection of reinterpretations.
The remix lineup includes No Sleep By The Machine, Object, Suicide Commando, GEttNER, kFactor, StateMent, This Morn’ Omina, Pyrite Forms, Plastikstrom, Jihad, TC75, and Syntech, turning the second half of the release into an alternate autopsy performed by artists from across the darker electronic underground.
Collectors will also have access to a limited 500-copy two-CD hardcover artbook edition, featuring 36 pages containing lyrics and information about the participating remixers. The physical edition is expected to ship on or around the October 16 release date.
Although the complete Surgical Precision Edition remains a pre-order, FIX8 has made the original 12 tracks available immediately through Bandcamp for streaming and download. The remaining material becomes available when the expanded edition officially releases.
