The Halo Effect Releases March of the Unheard + Announces European Tour with Pain

Melodic death metal pioneers The Halo Effect have unleashed their highly anticipated new album, March of the Unheard. Available now, this groundbreaking release reaffirms their place at the forefront of the genre they helped define while boldly charting new territory.

A Testament to the Gothenburg Sound

March of the Unheard is more than a celebration of The Halo Effect’s roots; it’s a dynamic evolution of the iconic Gothenburg sound. Thirty years after their members propelled melodic death metal to global prominence, the band delivers an album filled with razor-sharp guitar leads, driving rhythms, and unforgettable hooks.

To mark the release, the band has also unveiled a stunning video for their lead single, What We Become. Directed by Johan Carlén and shot in an ice-cold barn, the video’s mystique perfectly complements the track’s themes of transformation, depression, and self-doubt.

Frontman Mikael Stanne shared:
“The wait is over! Our second album drops today, and we could not be more proud. This is our love letter to melodic death metal, and we’re thrilled to share it with you. Don’t miss our new video for What We Become—it’s the perfect introduction to this record!”
