Brandon Smith returns with a new FiXT single that turns emotional uncertainty, obsession and the fear of finding nothing on the other side into another dark electronic-rock transmission.

The Anix Returns with “If You Feel Nothing” 💀

The Anix has released “If You Feel Nothing,” a new single available now through FiXT, continuing Brandon Smith’s long-running collision of alternative rock, electronic production and futuristic atmosphere.

Released September 30, 2026, the 3:19 track places emotional vulnerability at the center of a relationship balanced somewhere between desire and self-destruction. Smith approaches that uncertainty without dressing it up as conventional romance. Instead, “If You Feel Nothing” revolves around the much uglier question hiding underneath attachment: what happens when one person is falling while the other may no longer feel anything at all?

The imagery surrounding the song repeatedly points toward danger. Flickering lights, fault lines, falling, fire and the night become part of a relationship where attraction and instability are increasingly difficult to separate.

Love Without a Safety Net ⚡

That emotional tension fits naturally into The Anix’s universe, where Brandon Smith continues blurring alternative rock, electronic programming and cinematic sound design into something distinctly his own. Written, produced, mixed and mastered by Smith—who also created the cover artwork—“If You Feel Nothing” maintains the project’s tightly unified musical and visual identity.

Beneath the futuristic production, however, is something painfully human. The song captures the instability before heartbreak: two people still holding on while questioning what remains underneath. It turns one of our oldest vulnerabilities—needing another person to feel what we feel—into another dark, atmospheric chapter for The Anix.

“If You Feel Nothing” finds The Anix once again occupying the space between the mechanical and emotional. Beneath the polished electronics and futuristic exterior is a remarkably simple fear — falling deeper into someone while wondering whether there is anything waiting to catch you.
