A Familiar Star in a New Form
Dogtablet have released “Star (2026),” a rework of “Star” from Pearldrop Blue. That earlier recording featured Cat Hall of Dissonance; she returns with words and vocals on the new version. Dogtablet’s Bandcamp credits Steve White of KMFDM and PIG on guitar and Jules Seifert of Epic Audio Media on mastering.
Revisiting Pearldrop Blue
The original “Star” opened Pearldrop Blue in 2021. Five years later, Dogtablet’s decision to revisit it gives listeners a direct way to hear how the song has changed, with Hall’s voice still central to its identity. The new track is available on Dogtablet’s Bandcamp page, which also offers it with the Our Lives T-shirt.
