The upcoming concept album revives Klayton’s serialized release strategy while giving fans deeper access to the music and creative process ahead of its 2027 release.
Celldweller creator Klayton has announced GOD MODE, a new concept album that returns to the serialized release model first explored on Wish Upon a Blackstar and End of an Empire. Designed to move beyond today’s streaming-first landscape, the project focuses on immersive storytelling, exclusive content, and a closer connection between artist and audience.
A New Chapter Begins
Originally intended as a standalone single, “Fakebreaker” unexpectedly evolved into the opening chapter of a full-length gaming-inspired concept album. Now designated as Level 01, the track launches a larger narrative that will continue with each new release.
The next chapter, “Respawn,” arrives on July 29. Alongside the single, fans following the complete experience will receive instrumental versions, companion “XP” tracks, behind-the-scenes material, and story-driven content that expands the album’s science-fiction universe.

Beyond Traditional Streaming
To support the rollout, Celldweller is partnering with EVEN, a fan-focused platform where listeners can access new music early, along with demos, production commentary, studio updates, and other exclusive content. Klayton says the goal is to build a more meaningful relationship with fans rather than focusing solely on streaming numbers.
The same release strategy will also be used for the upcoming Scandroid album, Lost Horizon, beginning with a Scandroid reinterpretation of the Celldweller track “Jericho.” Companion releases titled Lost Transmissions will further expand Scandroid’s darker cyberpunk universe.
Klayton also announced that FiXT will celebrate its 20th anniversary this year with a special online event in August featuring artist appearances, new signings, and additional label announcements.
Looking Ahead
With GOD MODE, Celldweller is revisiting the fan-first philosophy that helped define some of the project’s most ambitious releases while adapting it for today’s digital landscape. The complete album is scheduled to arrive in 2027, with new music and exclusive content releasing throughout the campaign.
GOD MODE is shaping up to be more than a traditional album release, offering an evolving multimedia experience that invites fans deeper into Klayton’s creative world as each new chapter unfolds.
