pixelgrinder has released White Mask, a 12-track descent into modern internet culture and the increasingly cyberpunk reality forming around us.
At the center of the album is the “white mask” itself — a representation of the fictitious versions of ourselves we construct online. Sometimes that mask is an idealized identity. Sometimes it is carefully curated. Sometimes it becomes something completely disconnected from the person sitting behind the screen.
As technology becomes further embedded into everyday existence, the distinction between our physical identities and digital counterparts continues to erode. White Mask takes that uncomfortable reality and turns it into the foundation of an industrial and dark electronic journey built around technology, identity, isolation, and transformation.
Rather than treating cyberpunk as distant science fiction, pixelgrinder approaches it as something increasingly recognizable in the present.
Human Beings Behind the Screens
Across its 12 tracks, White Mask explores a world in which technology is no longer simply something people use. It increasingly becomes part of how people communicate, perceive themselves, construct identities, and experience reality.
That relationship becomes especially personal within pixelgrinder’s work. Technology is not merely an aesthetic backdrop. The artist’s experience with cochlear implants creates a very literal intersection between human biology and electronic technology — a connection that gives the album’s cybernetic themes considerably more weight.

Following the territory established through works including The Void Chamber, White Mask continues exploring the psychological spaces created when technology, human emotion, machinery, and identity begin bleeding into one another.
