“The song is about uncertainty and loss, and how each day of the week we have another opportunity to find a fleeting safety. I imagined a pair of star-crossed lovers on the run, and each day they find a place to hide out that gets compromised and they find themselves looking for the next. Life is like that sometimes. We can’t take any of our safe places for granted because there’s no telling how long they will exist.”

Karen Dió, the viral punk star who has been grabbing attention on the internet left and right, has signed to Hopeless Records. She simultaneously drops a set of singles, including a re-release of her fan-favorite track “Sick Ride,” which has caught the attention of Sum 41, Fred Durst, Kenny Hoopla, and more. Dió’s raucous, DIY punk anthems have commanded attention across seas all the way from her birthplace of Brazil, where she first laid the foundation for her bustling career. Now, Dió has found global appeal in her music, and is representing Brazilian rock music in a big way.
