Probe 7, comprised of synthesist Brent Heinze and vocalist Jasun Mark, is making waves with their latest single, “Pretty in Pink (Isn’t He),” accompanied by 15 remixes and an empowering video. This rendition of the classic Psychedelic Furs track has been beautifully reimagined to narrate the struggle for self-acceptance faced by a queer individual.

The single features an array of dancefloor-friendly remixes contributed by prominent artists such as The Cassandra Complex, Ego Likeness, Angelspit, Provision, The AXIOM Divide, Eloquent, Revolution State, Spoils of Grace, Swishcraft, Jack Chang, Aliester Growley, James Grey, and Seven Whores of the Apocalypse. The video showcases students from the Sexuality & Gender Alliance (SAGA) at the College of the Desert.
Founder Brent Heinze emphasizes the importance of LGBTQ+ artists sharing their stories to empower others, especially younger individuals navigating the path to self-acceptance in the face of societal prejudice and negativity.
This release marks Probe 7’s impressive 10th release on their independent label, Lokusdor Records. With deep roots in the LGBTQ+ community, Probe 7 crafts synth-driven compositions that celebrate the rich tapestry of human experiences. Their music blends elements of new wave, industrial, synthpop, and rock, creating an infectious groove complemented by poignant lyrics that explore themes of love, loss, pain, and hope.

“Pretty in Pink (Isn’t He)” is another chapter in Probe 7’s mission to connect with listeners through emotionally charged songs that uplift and inspire. Currently, they are hard at work in Southern California, crafting their upcoming full-length album.
