Harm’s Way Unveils New Single/Video “Devour” and Announces North American Fall Tour

Hardcore pioneers Harm’s Way have just released their intense new single “Devour,” which delves into the impact of toxic relationships. The band explains, “‘Devour’ is an expression of self-reflection following the realization that everything that was once there to give has been spent. Led down a path of deception and manipulation, one’s sense of self has been lost along the way. ‘Devour’ is the process of waking up to your isolation, with actions and purpose that are somehow no longer your own. It’s a crossroads that can lead you either the rest of the way down, or back to where whatever’s lost may be found again.”
Harm’s Way’s influence in the hardcore scene has spanned nearly two decades, molding heavy music’s direction with impactful songs that have contributed to reshaping the genre. Always evolving, they’ve continuously incorporated new and creative influences, crafting some of the most finely executed tracks in the hardcore punk and metal scene.

Their upcoming album, Common Suffering, stands as their most musically diverse venture yet. Overflowing with memorable riffs, breakdowns, and exceptional songwriting, the album serves as a reflection of the tumultuous experiences of the past three years – embodying chaos, misanthropy, paranoia, disorder, confusion, and anxiety. Themes explored include personal mental health struggles, relationships, political upheaval, corruption, and political power.
Despite their reputation for unrelenting intensity, Common Suffering surprises with moments of intricate songwriting that showcase light and shade. The album demonstrates their mastery of dynamics, intensifying an already powerful record. Harm’s Way has reached their apex, displaying the ambitious sound of a band unafraid to venture into new territories.
Recorded at Studio 4 in Pennsylvania with producer Will Yip (Turnstile, Code Orange), the album’s production aimed to enhance the band’s processes, experiment during production, and achieve the best from each track. The result is a culmination of band members pushing their creative limits, resulting in unprecedented material.
Common Suffering will be released on September 29 via Metal Blade Records, available on all digital streaming platforms, vinyl, and CD formats.
Harm’s Way has also announced a North American tour starting October 18, spanning through various locations, including Texas and both coasts. The tour will feature support from Fleshwater, Ingrown, and Jivebomb. Tickets will be available starting August 18.
