Following 2022’s dark pop/ / dark electro album “Motor Romantik” M73 returns with the five track ep “Hermetic”.

Everything is the same and nothing is the same.

Still a one man outfit M73 keeps the synths and soaring string pads but adds guitars and bass to the increasingly dark and moody mix for a sound more reminiscent of goth rock than dark pop.

Where earlier M73 releases often focused on dystopian sci-fi and eroticism “Hermetic” is grim and mystic as exemplified by the following lines taken from ep opener “Salome”:

Medicated existence

Numb to your affection

Absorb the love

In this artificial hell

Feeding on your flaws

Give me reason to fall

I am your jigsaw creation

The ultimate question

“Hermetic” was recorded during the first half of 2023 and mixed during the final months of 2023 and is released digitally and available on all streaming platforms and as digital download.

M73 (pronounced EM SIEBEN DREI) was founded by Danish industrial and synth wave producer Mirland (Am Tierpark, Gusten, Spank The Nun, Negant, Holm/Mirland and many more) around 2016. The debut single release “Nightfall” went public early 2019 soon to be followed by the debut album “Tainted”. In 2022 M73 returned with the second album “Motor Romantik”.
